When everything goes wrong

Do you have those days/weeks/months where it seems like everything is going wrong, when life is one speed bump after another?
In the past month all kinds of obstacles have been falling into my path. I keep thinking, "O.K., things will turn around soon. Surely I'm at the end of this patch of problems."
Then, sure enough, something else breaks down. So far it has been: hot water tank, the chimney, the dishwasher, the stove, the the car. I'm afraid to ask what else could happen, because it probably will!
While this is a rocky ride right now, I know it is temporary. It always is. If I can manage to keep my life in balance internally the externals will eventually balance out.
But in the meantime, it's tough!
What do you do to get through the rough spots?

Wow. Sounds like you aren't meant to have a car! Maybe you should get a horse! LOL
I hope things are getting better for you, too.

Hello youdontsay,
I understand how it feels when everything seems to be wrong for you. I had my tough time before. When it happens, it is really tough but I always tell myself that it is going to be over soon. It is just a temporary and my life will be good in future. I am not too sure sometimes whether I am right or wrong about it, but I always hope something good will happen later. At least it keeps me moving forward and manage to survive the tough times.

Yep. I once heard "Tough times never last but tough people do." Gotta hang tough.

Just keep trying to remember every black cloud has a silver lining. I admit sometimes it seems never ending but eventually it does and things will brighten up again. Best of luck through this bad patch. (Been there done that!)

Thanks. I'm not waiting for silver, though. I'll even take stainless steel!

i always try to be positive and tell myself it can't get any worse, thats not always the case though and like you it usually does... Just try and smile, even if its behind gritted teeth. Think of something nice that makes you smile..

Thanks. I try to think of the things that went right, especially as I'm going to sleep. I spend time being grateful for things that have been right that day. No matter how bad things are there is always SOMETHING that was right.

I understand completely your sentiments. I've been through processions of disasters lately and all I did to keep me on my feet is pray and think positively. With the way you're thinking I can tell you are very optimistic too and I'm sure you are strong so you'll eventually get out of the obstacles you're experiencing right now. good luck to you and I hope that you'll get through the rough spots soon.

When situations become very difficult I use mind control to raise me up again. I just think that if I can endure it then maybe it will be over soon or I'll be stronger. It's hard because it can get very frustrating sometimes Id feel so depressed like I want to give up and just let the rope go. But if I do that everything will just become worst. So what I do is that I just do my thing, pray and try to adjust to the situation. I tried to suppress my mind about not thinking about problems before. I don't face it or do something about it. I just tried to be relax about it and went with the flow but in the end I ended up facing my problems anyway. Dealt with them and eventually eliminated them one at a time. But problems will keep on happening it's part of our lives but the good thing about it is that we learn from it and we become stronger. We need to also connect with those that can giv us moral supports and "count our blessings'. Hope you are feeling better now, since it has been 5 years.
