Do you want to become a great person?

You have involved so much in this topic, you came out with bare truth of the fact in real life. I fully endorse your views. But then, I do not see others whether they are following some principles or not. I am always concerned about my own courage and convictions and if it gives me satisfaction, everything else is null and void. The problem starts when we are compare ourselves with others or when we keep looking at others. You are right, by following such principels, we are always in difficulties. It is always nice to be in difficulties, so that these difficulties are placed as problems and problems are faced as work. We have to work. Try to see pleasure in those works.

I appreciate the need to go trough difficulties to be able to fully enjoy the time when we overcome them. It's a concept I understand well. I don't often compare. I don't like comparisons. But every once in a while I do check - peek around just a bit. ANd what I see is that no matter what, apparently I am supposed to appreciate the difficulties much more, because they keep coming and overcoming them is a full time job. Still, I do know what you mean. ANd I agree that they are important, more than most things:)

All of us are great. At least we should say it to ourselves. After all I consider the values that are seen in great person should be seen in every common man. Unfortunately it is not seen because we do not aim at becoming a great person. We are submerged in small and trivial things in life. Do not you feel so? You don't have to feel sorry. After all, we are here only to discuss and share a few things in life and sometimes we are happy when we see our view points endorsed by others. What is important is always do not look for endorsing of our views. Try to be in their shoes for a while to understand life from that angle. That enriches our life's perspective. Regards.

You sincerely start from today to act towards becoming a great person and get that feeling in your heart and mind. You will definitely walk tall.

One mylotian has said it is not a definition of great person. I agree, but one can become great in a general sense. There can be great scientist, there can be great businessman, there can be great movie maker. But basically to have tangible effect, the greatness requires the above said tenets. It is easier said to follow than to really follow as I have experienced. When we are in difficulty we look for help. When we are comfortable we forget everything, including the basic principles. But all said and done, it is better to aim at becoming great person, though many people say it is a quality which is gifted. No one gifts it. It requires self determination, thinking in terms of others, sacrificing, leading a simple life and ultimately becoming absolute honest person.

You should never set your mind, by repeatedly sending message that you are not a great person. There are several attributes joins together to make a great personality. It is always worth aiming at those qualities rather than feeding ourselves negative points.

I know I have not covered all attributes that make a great person. See it also depends on the viewing of a personality. My mother is great for me, because of her sacrifice in life of her happiness. OUrs is a big family and obviously the mother plays a key role in looking after the children, giving them necessary help and guidance. She was totally illeterature, but she fed so many wonderful stories which was told to her by ger grand mother and it is those stories helped all of us to learn the art of living. What a contribution from an illeterate? So it is difficult to define a great person. Greatness is always experienced by others.

Greatness is not a product to be owned only by someone. Any person lviing, animal, plant or as you said any product can become great. Regarding comprehensiveness of the defintion, you are most welcome to add. Nothing is complete and nothing is comprehensive. Thanks for your response and good day.

s I have said, the qualities of greatness of a person cannot be defined because it varies according to circumstances and varies from person to person. But ultimately the greatness of a person is always experienced by others.
