I've written a number of poems and blogs but lately,I haven't been able to write...I feel like I'm at lost for words and inspiration...I still want to write though...But everytime I try to,I just couldn't come up with good pieces...Am I losing my gift?

Sounds like you have a writer's block there. Nothing to worry about (well, actually worrying makes it worse..). Take a total break from writing for a while, catch up on other parts of your life that you haven't really be paying attention too. Sometimes your mind just needs to be simulated by other things before you can write again. Good luck! :)

It maybe because all the words that you know are used up with all your pieces already. You're experiencing writer's block because your losing words that rhyme. Try to take a break for a while and read some books. Maybe you'll get inspired by that. Don't force yourself to write when you are not inspired, poems from that state would make the readers go nuts. lol

I went through this phase to; the key word is phase. I really started having a problem when writing become my job, because suddenly it wasn't just a hobby anymore. It took mr a while to get back into the process, but I triumphed and so will you! Practice free writing each day is my advice. It doesn't even matter if it makes sense. Just so you write!

Hi Bianx, I don't think you're losing your passion. Maybe don't " try " to write, that is forcing it to come out.I write songs and some times I get blocks also, when it happens; I just put down my paper and do something else. Some times I don't write for days; mainly due to having other things on my mind. Other times I listen to the radio or call my girl friend and she 'll say something that will inspire me to start writing again. But I have learned not to try and force it because I won't write for days. The best thoughts come to me when I'm not even thinking about writing. Oher times I may look over what I have written to revise it and a fresh thought comes to mind.

Maybe it's because you lack readers. I suggest you join a community of bloggers where you can find other people writing poems. See two people here for example: http://hubpages.com/_hubpagesblog/profile/Drax http://hubpages.com/_hubpagesblog/profile/malabikajay
