What's your best bargain ever? Or your top 5. I was using my salad shooter this weekend (which I acquired years ago) and thinking about how it really was my best bargain, or at least one of my top 5, because I got it at a yard sale for $3. I don't think I have ever topped that, not for a kitchen appliance anyway! Of course if you get it free through Freecycle, that's different, but what is the best bargain you ever got for something you had to pay for. I mean in terms of what the item was worth, what you paid for it and how well it worked out.

My best bargain was years ago when I got a whole big box of cross stitch charts, fabric and threads for $2.00 b/c the woman decided she didn't want to do it anymore and wanted to get rid of it.

I just love garage sales. I haven't been to one in a while and I really need to start going again. I got a microwave for 5 bucks back in 1992 and it lasted me 4 years! Last year I got a duster (coat) that was lined and everything for a buck. It was a London Fog.

I think my best bargain was the comforter set I bought recently. I found a comforter set and fell in love with it but at $190.00 I couldn't do it. A couple months later I was browsing the clearance racks and seen the comforter. It was marked down to $19.00!!! I took a deep breath and looked to see if it was a king size and OH MY it was!! I was so excited! Every thing included comforter, sheets, pillow cases, shams, bed skirt for a king size and only $19 bucks!!
I also have found placemats for 10 cents, curtains for a dollar, and clothing for pennies.
My honeymoon was in an extremely expensive place (we didn’t pick it was a gift) and I found a clearance rack there. My husband said "only you could find clearance on Captiva"
I do a lot of Target clearance shopping they always have a good deal on some thing.

A couple years ago I wanted to buy a Futon. I saw one in a sales add for $200 and decided to get it. It was a good looking futon. So I call the store and they told me I could come pick it up that day. When I got down there they realized they didn't have it in stock and since they had told me I could come and get it they offered me another futon that was much better, I think the price of it was 400 or 500 dollars and they gave it to me for the price of the other one. The only thing is I had to take the cushion from the $200 one which was know problem. I believe that was my best buy.

Hi: That's such a difficult question. I am an avid yard saler and second hand store shopper. I have found wonderful things. I just purchased a new kitchen set really beautiful, quality made for $30. It fit my kitchen great. I bought a brand new, still in a sealed box, US Robotics modom for $2. I thought that was a pretty good deal. If you check out the second hand stores on a regular basis you can get some wonderful bargains.

I recently picked up a video game from a known retail store that scanned for $1, that was about a $49 price drop. Its going for $10 on ebay so I'm going to list it sometime soon.
