what is going on with the pay here???

I see someone already mentioned the cutoff issue... you might want to look into that and find out what time the cutoff is in your time zone before you panic. The cutoff is midnight US Central Standard time. The other thing you might want to look at is how much of what you said in your posts really added something to the discussion. So much of the payout is about quality. I know you said you didn't post one-liners, but the few of your responses I looked at were pretty short. I know sometimes a short response is all you really NEED to say what you want to say, but mylot still doesn't like those. I made over $1 yesterday for the first time in a while personally, but I have no idea how many posts I made. *shrugs*

The time invested isn't worth it and probably never has been if you only look at it from a money standpoint. I mean what other "job" would people be happy to make $1 a day? I don't have an explanation for why you only made 3 cents for all that posting, it could any or all of the reasons listed already and I don't see the point in repeating them lol. I hope tomorrow is a better earnings day for you so don't get discouraged...you may not be earning much money but look what you're earning in friendships and knowledge!

I dont even worry about it anymore...getting paid is just a bonus to me..a great bonus but a just a bonus all the same....To me just enjoying the conversations, the ppl and the huge variety of topics makes it worth it to me ya know...

This happened to myself and a referral of mine. We were talking about how we made several posts, she made about 10 or so and that usually gets her a few cents but she only got 2 cents. I made about 12 or more that same day and was lucky enough to come away with about three or four cents. Since that night, things have gone up, but I'm not sure what happened that other night.

I'm not sure what exactly happened there but I do know the other day I did alot of responding and making my own discussions, but the pay the next day wasn't that great. I work online at night time, so I think my earnings actually counted the day after that. I am not sure when Mylot vuts off our earnings for the day but I bet anything after midnight applies to the next day earnings. I bet your earnings will be more tomorrow. It all depends on when you were posting, I think?

I think it was easier to make 0.40 cents a day when I first joined My Lot. Now I feel happy if I get 0.20 cents a day. I am not sure when a My Lot day begins and ends. It might be the time it is in New York. Midnight there is different to midnight in my home country. I notice that earnings are updated in the early afternoon. So with the USA being a number of hours behind the time in my home country. If I reply to 10 posts a day I get about 0.20 cents. If I do a bit more like add a few discussions of my own I might earn a surprise of 0.35 cents. If I only reply to one discussion I might get 0.02 cents. I find it challenging to work out the My Lot paying system. My Lot is fun but it is not a way to get rich quickly hey.

When I first became a member of myLot it was very slow to start but as time went on, I began to earn. Developed more people on my friend list also which helps. You made 40 posts and earned 3 cents? I sure would question that and email myLot. Maybe they can come up with a reasonable explanation. Last time I sent them an email, I never did get an answer but I wasn't able to find the question I wanted answered in the guidelines. Hope you are able to get this situation resolved.

Hi barbiegirl! There is cut off period for your discussions and replys. Ive been here a year and still cannot figure it out completely!LOL

More than enough people have noticed for it not to be true, I have been getting a fair pay I really enjoy Mylot for its discussions and seeing how long it takes me to payout. I hope it was a mistake made in your earning only $0.03 for 40+ posts though. Maybe it is a bug that is going around Mylot, who knows.

Well like someone else stated. It may have to do with the cutoff time for mylot. Mylot does have a cut off time and anything posted after that time is not credited until the following day. Depending on where you live depends on what your cutoff time is. For example: Here on the east coast of the US (Florida, Georgia, Carolinas, on up) our cutoff time is around midnight. So people living over in California (who are three hours behind us) there cut off time is around 9pm. Does that make since? I hope it does and I was able to shed a little light on your problem. The important thing is quality posts and replies. The majority of your posts are super short - some just ask a simple question which won't generate a detailed response. If you look in mylot rules they talk about this. Certain ones violate rules, yes and no etc. I think of these discussions as actual discussions. Asking a question, especially yes or no and getting a reply - is an exchange. When you share some of your own experiences, perspectives, feelings in detail you're more likely to inspire a detailed reply which hopefully will be enough to keep the conversation going. In real life, a discussion isn't just one question, one answer. Its also important not to skip the keyword section, thinking you're saving time. The more keywords you have, the more people will find you when they do a search. You could ask questions in your response to generate more conversation, or give detailed answers that will do the same. I once made $2.50 one night - and all I did basically was have a few conversations with one mylotter. WE answered a few thread starters of each other's and our answers spurred on even more conversation. She made more - but she was active elsewhere as well. My discussions haven't been getting as many responses lately as I haven't been on as much and my old 'regulars' haven't been around to my discussions as much. So the most I make is like 30-80 cents a day. And I'm not on too much either. Its important to nurture your friendships here so that just as you always answer your friend's discussions, they will do the same.

Your figure is way too low, as has been said wait the next day to see if you earn a little more. I am getting 1 cent per post sometimes more with pictures and discussions. An there is times the earnings fluctuates, heard that it could be a deleted discussions or something. Good luck and keep posting ... 3 lines is what mylot recommends.

i always get minimum 1 cent every time i make a response and upto 5 cents for my discussions, if i make 40 posts i would have got a minimum of 40 cents or more. So may be u should try and improve the quality of your posts and also try to give lengthy posts which will help you earn more with mylot.

I am not sure. May be it is pay of previous day? have yopu checked in the earning section that it is pay for that day only? If so, then I really do not have idea how for 40 post there can be only 3 cents. Still earnings are very doubtful and little here.

You will probably get the rest tomorrow. Sometimes I am typing when they do the switch over to the next day. I might not even come on line the next day but when I check my balance the next time I come on there is the rest of what I should of made. So check in the morning and see if you have much more added to your total. This happens to me a whole lot because I am usually on here around 11pm through to midnight.

My lot does pay i know i've received in november a payout. However sometimes they update your account and you can see there's not much money added.Look the other day and you will see that they added more money to your account. I know that if my earnings are increased and i respond after the update you will see the earnings back the next day.However if you respond the next day you before update you will your earnings increasing the day after. So MyLot is really worth it.So try and look tomorrow you will see your earnings are higher.

i happens to me all the time,but it is a day or 2 later its is added on.it must be what everyone is talking about a cut off time.i am in australia and i never really take much notice as i have come to realise that it corrects itself sooner or later.cheers sue

I think it has something to do with rating as well, not just responses...I think they should have it out in the open how much you can make and how...they would get the usage up more if they did instead of letting everyone guess....I find it fun just typing to random people and learning new things all the time. but sometimes it can be a waste of time so i only do it in little bursts, when I have the time...Like right now it is midnight where I am and i can't sleep and my kids are in bed so i figured i would get some posting done and some rating. I find that when I rate the discussions I get more mula...now I'm not talking hundreds of dollars but like yesterday it was 25 cents....but that is my guess.

yes,i think there are some problem about mylot.I did not get any earnings for 2 days,though my topic is hot...and i responded some comments... Hope the liner are handling it
