I think we need an Unplugged Day!

Yesterday, as I was on my PC, and my daughter was on the laptop, and my hubby was on his work laptop and my son was playing on the Wii, I looked at my hubby and said "We need to have an unplugged day". Just for one day. No computers. No TV. No video games. I'm trying to remember what we used to do before we had computers. I think we were outside more. Do you think you could "unplug" everything for 24 hours? What would you do?

But... my... music! I've spent days without TV and internet as I read a lot. Obviously in summer I spend more time outside with friends, we go for walks and hikes or just laze about at the river. However I dislike the silence of the double glazed home in winter. I don't know why... I just do. Maybe if I had my own one man band it would be okay lol

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I am getting bored with the internet and I haven't really been watching TV but I'm stuck inside because of the winter and I'm babysitting my brother almost every night so it's either home and on the computer, at school, or at work. I should really sit down and read or something but my seven year old brother would still be sitting there playing his PS2. I don't know how I'll do it, but I will. At some point, in the next month or so.

In the summer we would have no problem having an unplug day! Actually, that is a great idea! In the winter, we would drive each other crazy. The only one that would truely love it would be my daughter. She loves playing board games and I am guessing that is what we would do.

I couldn't do it for 24 hours! - two plugs
It's amazing isn't it? I don't think there is a family in the US or anywhere for that matter who isn't plugged in in some way all day. The kids definitely need it and now a lot of adults have joined them even if it's just a game system. I know I couldn't do it for 24 hours....I would go crazy without my pc to keep in touch with the world and make money.
