At The End Of The Day

When all is said and done, many individuals hold on to the things that make them upset the most. Why? What's the sense? Most of you may have read my other responses and/or discussions, and I have often mentioned that life is not always what it seems, it is what we make it. We shouldn't hold on to the little things that got us upset throughout the day. Rather, be grateful that we were able to live through another day, learn from the mistakes we made and obstacles we faced, and say THANKS! Why bother with the "my day sucked" and the "I hate this and that." It is a waste of breath and a waste of time. Anyways, the reason for this discussion is to try to bring light to the most obvious problem in society, people are focusing on the wrong things; on the things that don't hold any value. Today I was approached by someone who appeared to be having a bad day, but tried not to let it show. He told me that whenever he sees me I am cheerful and have no worries. I looked at him and said 'it's not that I don't have any worries, it's just that I choose not to worry.' With his mouth wide open as if to say "wow, I never thought of it that way" he shook my hand and was on his way. At the end of the day, I realize that I am blessed and that I have tomorrow to look forward to. And you know what, believe or not (despite what happens bad or good), tomorrow can be a better day...if you make it a better day! Just needed to share a little bit of hope. Be blessed and always positive.

I need to be more positive myself. I hold on to bad feelings for a long time, especially when someone hurts me. For the past week I have been trying not to dwell on the bad stuff as much. It is a hard habit to break though.

Actually, it could be a bad habit to break if you allow it to be. Sometimes we need to ask ourselves questions about what we do or don't do to prepare ourselves to change. I am quite sure when the time comes to break that habit, you will. Sometimes it just takes time. Holding on to the things that hurt us, will only invite more of those things into our daily lives. Learn from them...and release them. Allow them to make you stronger and say to all the bad "I am worthy, I am way better than that!" Wishing you all the best. Be blessed and always positive.

Thank you for sharing, purpose. It's a great reminder to think about and appreciate our many blessings rather than dwell on the negative.

You are welcome! Life is a wonderful thing and we should all learn to appreciate it for what it is regardless of the setbacks and misfortunes. Thank you and may you always be blessed and positive.

Yes, I've also observed people whining over spilled milk and with their days gone bad. And I feel that they have to take a break from all the whining as this does not help them a bit. I agree that we should learn from our mistakes and that we need to move on no matter what. And we can do this by being optimistic, that tomorrow will be a better day and that all difficulties in life are just opportunities for us to show what we got and a challenge for us to do our best. Optimism is a gift that needs to be shared and like you I wish to share mine.

This came at the perfect time for me and you are right on with this discussion. I am grateful to see another day. I am lucky to have my husband still here with me. I almost lost him as a result of blood clots in his lungs in September, so you are exactly right in what you just said.

Thank you and I wish you and your husband an abundance of good health. Continue to live your life to the fullest in a positive manner, regardless of what may come. Sometimes we just need to accept all the unexpected as a test of our strength and attitude. Life could be such an incredible thing if we all just learn to appreciate it. May God continue to bless you and your husband with goodness. Thanks again!
