It is a good idea to have a maid in the house to help out with chores, however, recent news in my city on the activities of house maids is giving me cause to worry-a house helper put some rat poison in in a bottle of milk of a 9 month old baby under her care-the mother returned home unexpected and decided to feed the baby-she had a cold and so could not smell the poison. The baby started vomitting and went to a comma by the time she was taken to hospital. It leads me to this question,Do you trust your house helper too much?

Wow.
I do my own household things. I cannot afford to hire help anyway. I would not trust other people either in my house these days.

Being a house helper, she must hava a certification or the employer know the house helper very well. Otherwise,I think that the employer can not always trust her as same as someone can not trust a stranger at random. It need some time and process for the employer and the house helper to trust each other.
