Ok! Ok! it is now halfway though the month of January Christmas is done and I still see people with there christmas lights still up and turned on and the blowups still on the front lawn. When is the right time to take down your Christmas things? I have even seen people with trees in the window, also when is it the right time to put up your Christmas things it seems like this last year they started way before October, soon its going to be a time were you just leave it on all year round and then the store can sell Christmas things all year round my point is folks take the stuff down Christmas is over

That is amazing. Where I live, you can get a ticket if you keep your lights up too long. To tell you the truth, I couldn't wait to take those lights down. I actually ran over one of the candy cane lights that my wife put up with my truck. I was crazy!

I always put my lights up on Thanksgiving Day and turn them on that night.......The tree comes down after the fifth of January because the fifth is when the three wisemen arrived to give gifts to the baby Jesus......It also may be because that's when my parnets put up the tree and took it down....
I don't put things out in the yard anymore cause I live in an apartment building and people would steal them......But I think that's a good time to take them down......After all Christmas is over by then.....
But a lot of people like to see them out in the yard so I guess it all depends when they want to take them down....

hi there jimmy3371... how are you? well yes, here in my place too, people still have their christmas lights and christmas trees. i don't know why. it is either they are too lazy to get it off and decorate a new wall or whatever in order to keep up with the house design. or maybe they cannot just let the christmas season go. oh well, it does not matter to us especially in paying the electri currents, right?

There are people in my area that still have their lights up. I know a few houses that keep the lights up all year round, guess they are too lazy to take them down or maybe it's just too much work. I don't know, I live in an apartment, never had to climb up a ladder and put all those lights up.

Here at home everyone's either too busy or too lazy to take down the Christmas decors which should have gone down the 1st weekend of January. But we don't turn on the lights, I think that's too much. Laziness is not really an excuse for that anymore. We'll probably take it all down one of these days before February hits us in the face.

i don't know, people are just to lazy to take them down or maybe they just like the lights were they are. My parents take them down when christmas is over too but loads of my friends just keep them up. i asked why and they told me they weren't bothered to take them down. either way i didn't really care. unlike my parents i'm not that bothered over it either lol
