Should the Kings trade Bibby and Artest?

In my opinion, I think they should because look at the team now. They have a lot of young players that can help them in the future such as Garcia, Udrih, Salmons, Douby, and Hawes. The team has also been winning even without the two. The team should get a player that has a team-first attitude since they play better playing as a group. But when you put Artest and/or Bibby in the lineup, the tendency is that they feel they're the so-called leader of the team and will put up tons of shots to show they're the star of their team. Anyways, the trade deadline is still one month from now so i hope the Kings can manage to ship those two players for quality players that has a good attitude on-and-off the court as well.

I think it would lead to something good if not better for the Kings. Yeah, the young kings' players consisting of Garcia, Udrih, Salmons, Douby, and Hawes ... and ow, you forgot Kevin Martin (K-Mart) can definitely win games without Bibby and Artest. K-Mart just got out from a groin injury and I bet he'll definitely help contribute to more wins for the Kings.
I don't really think the Kings would trade Bibby and Artest this season but next season, I guess there would be changes in their roster, their veteran roster. Those 2 are veterans and leaders in the team that's why there's always that tendency that they they'll be putting more shots..
but the question is, would you still keep veterans who can put more shots rather than win more games? I doubt it. Thanks for pointing that out javin. :)

Oh yeah i forgot Kevin Martin... I'm a sactown fan and i forgot to name their leading scorer? pity me... hehe Anyways, if the kings can keep the young kids on that team for a few more seasons, then i believe they can contend for the championship since they also have the one the best home crowd in the association. As for Artest and Bibby, i also think that they'll not be traded this season since they're injured but i believe the Kings will set them up as trade bait in offseason to get players that can help fortify the team. Thanks for telling me your insights as well meemingNEW.

:) Lol. Kevin Martin is really their leading scorer and that guy can really make baskets. If I'm not mistaken, I think I haven't seen a Kings player yet having an athletic ability such as K-Mart.. He can dunk, score, force fouls, shoot free throws.. He can possibly lead the team such roles like that of Brandon Roy, Chris Paul, etc.. He's an SG right? As long as he's healthy, I definitely believe he got lots of room for improvement.. versatility, consistency and leadership.. and with all the other young guys who'll improve, then in less time, Sactown will then be again ready for another playoff run.
I also think that John Salmons can win the Most Improved Player this season..O :) Go Kings!

Excellent point on k-mart! The guy is already good at his age. Maybe the only thing he lacks is his body mass since he's skinny but other than that, he's such a scorer. As for Salmons, I couldn't believe he can actually average 20ppg and he's one of the best free throw shooter in my opinion. I'll second the motion on john salmon's shot as being the most improved player of the year. But i guess it'll take time until the Kings become a force again since they're in a rebuilding process.
How i miss the Kings of the past. If only Horry hadn't nailed the game winning 3pt shot in Game 4 of the series back then, the Kings could've won the title. I guess we just have to wait until they can win their first title in Sacramento!
Go Kings!

Now that the kings are looking to rebuild, they should certainly ship out Artest and Bibby. If those two vets stay, it will end up hindering the youths development. Plus, the kings can gain extra youth and picks by trading the vets away.
Not only that, but also Artest and Bibby have been rather inconsistant. Because of injury and because of off the court distractions, those two would be better suited being elsewhere.
Plus, if the kings are ready to begin a new era.. they must rid themselves of the clinging pieces to the previous eras..

Good point. Also, they should ship K.Thomas and Adbur-Rahim if possible since those guys aren't helping as well. Adbur-Rahim is injured and had a "curse" before of not getting his team in the playoffs when he's on that team while K.Thomas is an undersized power forward. To be honest, i'd like Bibby to stay but he's a scoring point guard and that's not what a point guard should be in my opinion. As for Artest, he should just accept the role of defending the scorers of the opponent's team just like Bowen. The guy is a great defender but the problem with him is he just keeps on shooting.

in my opinion probably kings can trade about artest but i think not in the case of the bibby!!he's too much important as talent as your presence on the field in the team balance!!so i think bibby will remain a positive addiction for kings also for future!!

I know bibby is a great asset in any team he'll be into but the Kings has their future backcourt intact right now. The rotation of Udrih, K-mart, Douby, Garcia has been paying off to them. I think bibby is a good trade bait for them to get a strong inside presence. Kings frontline consists of B.Miller, Moore, Abdur-Rahim, K.thomas, Hawes. Abdur-Rahim is out while K.thomas is too small for a power forward. Brad Miller isn't much of an inside threat and is considered one of the better passing big men in the league. Moore has been inconsistent while Hawes is just getting the feel of the game. If they could trade bibby to boost their frontcourt, then i'd be willing to part ways with him. Thanks for your insights though!
