Budgets

I need to make a budget. I haven't been able to because I had ONE huge bill that had to be paid and I couldn't budget around it. I only have two more payments left on that bill (YAY!) and it's paid for, leaving me considerably more money to budget with. I've never really done a budget before. How do you budget your money? How do you prioritize what's most important and plan for unforseen things coming up? How well do you stick to your budget?

I am a financial advisor so I do all the budgeting for my family and for close friends as well as myself. You basically have to draw up a plan and stick by it. Include everything, hydro, water cell, phones, expenses etc in this. Whatever you have to spend money on a month and say ok I can give this place this much etc etc. If you want. I can make up a plan for you. But you will have to send me some information on your budget.
