Good luck with all of that. My husband hasnt been allowed to see his daughter in 7 years because that is the mothers way of "getting back at him" for not marrying her. Here in Ohio, if they werent married then the fathers have no parental rights..EXCEPT to pay child support, ofcourse! The courts dont care about the best interest of the child, they just care about the $$$!

Where do you live? In the US there are many lawyers that do pro-bono work for family law and government organizations that will pay for your lawyer in family court.

He would be able to back to the child court commisioniers and ask why vistiation was not set and ask that a court hearing be open to set this up if the mother and the father can not work this out with the commisioner...does not have to spend money on a lawyer to do this..It is his right to see the child just have to back to court and have this put in writing and dont worry about the mother the court will give visitation to the father unless there is serious problems going on that maybe you are not aware of..

Was there not anything mentioned in court about visitation rights? Maybe you would have to file a case with them or something. Try speaking with a lawyer and see what he has to say. A bit starange though because one would have thought the visitation rights would have been finalized in the first case.

I went through the same thing with my ex boyfriend. I took him to court for a measly R300.00 per month. He is supposed to have 1 hour visitation on a week end. He has not phoned, sms'd nothing to find out how his son is. I phoned him to invite him to his son's sports day and he never pitched. Not a phone call to apologise or anything. He jsut doesn't care.
