i wish i can move and start off new like you.
i used to have close friends until mid-middle school but they either moved or i lost contact. those friends were ones i knew all throughout early elementary school. now in high school i don't have that many friends but anyways,
at least you have a fresh start. nobody knows you.
good luck..

I have a few great fiends I know are there for me and even when they live in another state, I know they are still there. Don't feel so lost because just saying you have those friends means you are very lucky. I consider myself lucky to have those friends I love and cherish so much.
Making new friends takes time. You seem like a very nice person and you should have no trouble making new friends. And in time when you make these new friends, you will be building another lifetime friendship... Just give yourself time.

I have a couple of friends that I know I could count on for anything. We've been friends since we were little and we would do anything for each other. They are more like my sisters than just friends. You can force a relationship to mature faster than it can. You just have to put in the time and do things for each other mutually.

Its tough when you move away from friends like that. In high school I had 4 best friends that I could trust with my life. Sadly, we all live in different towns now and rarely see one another. I was fortunate enough to end up with a friend at work. In the last 2 years me and her are super close, pretty much consider ourselves sisters. I really never thought I would have a close friend like that ever again, and I am lucky. Making good friends like that is not an easy thing, not for me anyways. A friendship like that is not something you can just jump into. And like I read in another response, just because you moved away does not mean you have to lose touch with your friends, that is what the internet, the phone, and even the postal service is for. But I do understand how you feel *hugs*.

How does geographical location determine if a friendship is lost or not. My best friends live in Ca, Mi, NC, Oh, TN,NY.A friend who is a best friend is in your life for reasons beyond where u live. Keep in touch thru phone calls, emails and good old fashioned handwriting.I hope this helps. When all else fails, Pra.

Yes, I have a best friend I can count on for anything and that is my mother. She is the person whom I can rely on for anything. She cares for me and is a person who is very trustworthy. Right from my childhood, she has been my best friend. I remember when I was a child, I fell ill and my father had to go out of station urgently, he said he will cancel his going but my mother convinced him to go and took the responsibility upon herself and made me get well. She always made good dishes for me. She made my mouth water with her delicious cuisines. Whenever I had any problem, she was the answer to it. She was the bridge between me and my father. If I could not talk about something with my father, she helped me out. When things went wrong, she helped me set them right.
"Our friendship has become our 'HABIT', even if you take out 'H', A BIT remains, take out 'A', still BIT remains. Finally take out 'B', still IT remains."
She made my dresses and dressed me with the new one when I was a baby. When I grew up, I wanted to pursue Fashion Designing, she made arrangements for the money and I was able to go with it. I am obliged to her for every act. When I was facing the financial crisis, she helped me out. So, I think she's the one whom I can count on for anything.

There are plenty of ways to keep in touch with your old friends. Like the internet for example. Finding new friends takes time as you already know from how long it took you to establish the relationships you had. Use what means you have to keep in touch with the friends you had and new friends will find you in time.
