Oral Contaceptives

I want to know the risks involved with taking oral contraceptives. I've read somewhere that birth control pills may cause cancer. Some people also claimed that they have gained weight after taking birth control pills. What problems can be encountered when taking birth contol pills? Have you encountered any problems?

actually oral contraceptives have been shown to help REDUCE the risk of ovarian and endometrial cancers.
