What do you consider is a "Sucessful Life"

People have different views on what a successful life means to them. It might mean that they are financially secure, or that they find their soulmate or that they are happy.
To me my life has been pretty successful up to this point. I have a decent job although I hope to improve on it in the future. I have found love and I hope to be married within the next year. I am not a financially secure as I would like to be but it my mind I am happy and I enjoy life. And I think that is why I my life is a success.
What are your opinions on what makes a successful like? Is your life a success and if not then what will have to happen to make it successful?

I don't know if my life has been a success or not. I have done what I wanted and I have seen my Red Wings win 3 Stanley Cups so I can't complain. But a success? I don't know.I never knew what I was suppose to do so I am not sure I have done it yet.

Thank you for the best response. If the Red wings go all the way this year it will feel a little strange. My favorite Red Wing, Brendan Shanahan, is now a Ranger.

I've never thought of it like that. I don't think any of us know what we are supposed to do in life and in a way I think our success in life is decided by those who look back on our lives after we are gone. I mean we can think we are successful as much as we want but you have to look at it from the outside-in. And congrats on being able to witness Detroit win 3...I'm sure they'll win some more before its all said an done. Thanks for the response.

A successful life to me is having a good, well paid job that you are happy with and enjoy, having a nice home and very good friends who are loyal, trustworthy and respect you. Having no financial worries or debts and living life to the full and of course being 100% healthy. Life is what you make it and if you work hard enough to can achieve the goals you want from life.

Good Response. I am working hard to pay off debt and trying to put things in line. I'm trying to find the right job for me although I really don't think I'll be successful in that until I go back to college. And the finding friends who are loyal, so true. I have a few that I can always rely on including my fiancee. Thanks for the post.

Successful life has different perspective to different people. For me it is to do everything and achieve the goals taht i have set for myself. It may differ from others otr may be different people have different priorities in life.I have some different and doing this all is my success in life.

You have a good point about the achieving the goals one sets in life. If you don't achieve those goals then there isn't much real success right? Thank you for your insight.

I mostly support all your ideas. Having a good job and making good money. Getting married, settling down, and having kids. Enjoying life and getting out there and doing the things you never did before.
