I've seen loads of profiles recently with the members not logged in for 9 months+. Do you thing there should be an automatic deletion of an account like in hotmail? When should the cutoff point be?why hasn't mylot addressed this oversite?I will give best response on 17/01/2008 12.00pm UK time.

I think that inactivity over a period of 9 months and more should be deleted too. Or perhaps mylot could store a function button that says "on vacation for a period of ..." And if it's left blank, it means that that user tend not to come back to mylot.
I like the way you put that you would give a best response on this time and date. That's really cool! Another thing that I noticed is that there are a lot of veteran users whom have been inactive for more than 60 days. I really wonder why they are active in the beginning and have suddenly become inactive all of a sudden. And most of these members are users with a lot of posts and discussions answered. I used to have an old id which I accidentally deleted and I see these people all the time. But now, when I'm back, I see them no more. It is great to have new friends, but I wonder where all these active users go to now and why they have become inactive all of a sudden.
Good discussion here, my friend. :)-

But as far as agreeing with you, I do!
There's just too many that are not participating, and there should be a cut-off point, and the old discussions should be taken off!
And I think if there were more best responses, there would be more competition, thus more participation!
