i can be a friendly and jolly as the next person but I do find it hard to allow anyone close enough to be my friend, it is particularly difficult for me. I find it very hard to make the first move and then when I've seen someone a few times what if I don't really like them? I have few good friends and only see them occasionally. I find the whole social thing terrifying. I didn't use to be like this it just snuck up on me.

Not making friends is not wrong, but you stand to loose the greatest gift of the god. The frienship which last are those, wherein each friend respects the others' dignity, to the point of not really wanting any thing from him.
