Appeasement for Iran

My question is this, if you have read "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich", do you feel that appeasement is the best way to handle Iran and their nuclear interests? My small sampling of colleagues that support appeasement have not read this book and know very little of world history. I look forward to your responses.

That's way out, man, there is no comparison between Iran and the 3rd Reich. Don't see Iran claiming lands in neighbors countries nor passing laws restricting people's right. More Iran is a democratic country despite what you've might have heard. Their nuclear program is a mere response to the Iraq program - they believed too.

My question wasn't directly comparing Iran to the 3rd Reich as it was comparing two countries that threaten their neighbors (whether through invasion or nuclear attack), and how the rest of the world should respond. I'm all for Iran building nuclear power plants, it would be a great boon to their country and the entire region. But if they are developing nuclear weapons, and there is not hiding their distaste for Israel and the United States, should we appease them when they say they are just for self defense like we appeased Hitler when he said he wouldn't claim any more land?

As far as I know, Iran has not threatened any neighbor country in recent years, not even a conventional war. They stood still while Iraq was falling and Afganisthan was headless.
I repeat Iran nuclear program is a response to Iraq so (in)famous one that took countries with vast intelligence agencies to war. I don't think anyone can blame them for that.
And to be sincere, once you started is very difficult to stop in the middle particularly if some other country is demanding that. Iran and US were very close to a deal and more openness toward each other some 10 years ago, it's all gone now.
