When it Rains it Pours...

Get this, last week I quit the job I've been at for over a year because I got a job offer making better money. I would have been stupid to turn it down. So I go to one of the local temp agencies, put my application in, get hired and start working. I've been working there for a week. Well this morning once I got home I get a call from the Temp Agency saying that the Human Resources department at that job sent an email saying I'm not needed right now because they have a full staff and that if a spot comes available I'm welcome to come back because I did a great job while there. Does that confuse any of you as much as it has confused me? If they didn't need my help then what was the point in hiring me in the first place? I mean I had vacation time, holiday pay and sick pay at my other job. I could probably get my job back up there but I'd have to start at the new hire pay again and wouldn't have vacation or holiday pay until i've been there a while year again. I'm just so mad right now. On top of this happening my fiancee is still looking for a job too and so now we are both jobless and have all these bills piling up. I wish it was time to get my tax return back. Anyways any advice on what I should do or any support you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
