Do you pay attention to Mylotter's nickname?

When I first started posting here, I liked to pay attention to the name and the avatar. Now however, I just pay more attention to the avatar. So whenever I'm looking for good posts to reply too, I look at the avatar and sometimes glance at the name. The only thing that is frustrating is whenever a poster that I know makes a post or something, I like replying to them because I know they make good posts. It gets difficult to find them when they change their avatar if you don't look at their names.

Hello dear youless. I think that I have already rememberd many of my active friends here as we often have responses to each other' discussions. I still remember the first time when I read youless, I was wondering what the meaning it could be and I am still wondering the background of the story of youless. lol.

I usually recognise people off their avatars, I dont take much notice of the names.

I've learned to focus on the names of people I want to keep up with, because avatars can be changed. Some of my friends change avatars more often than others, but I think just about everyone I know here has changed at least once since I've known them. I've only changed my once personally, but that's still enough that people might have stopped recognizing me. :p In order for me to remember someone's name, though, they have to make quite an impression on me. Sometimes it's one exceptionally good discussion or response, but more often it's several good ones before I start taking notice.

I usually pay attention to both because I ever come across two same avatar with different nickname. It's to comfusing to me, though I can't really remember them now.

The ones who are my friends will spark my attention when I see there names, others I kinda learn as i go along if they write interesting things regularly. And if I answer regularly.

Actually, I can honestly say that there have been some of the people here, I know by their nickname here, as well as their avatar that are on my friends list, because there are many here who have been changing their avatar around quite a bit in here, and I find if you know a person by their nick more than by their avatar it will help you to be able to follow them more when they do change their avatar again.

Hi friend, I notice that there are many interesting usernames here at mylot. Though some of them are long, I still could remember as they are combination of few words, like one of my friends here, chewing plus gum. I can remember both the avatars and usernames of friends or mylotters here which are familiar to me, even though if they have changed their avatars. I can remember yours as it is short and carries the meaning of: wife takes more (I more) whereas husband takes less (you less). This is what people in my place love to joke with friends commonly.

I usually pay attention to the mylotters nicknames and their avatars especially my friends. When they change theirs I make comments about how nice their new avatars are :)

Not really no. About the onyl ones I ever pay attention to are ones that have an avatar that grabs my eye. Which means it's probably anime related. Sometimes I notice nicks that are, to me anyway, funny. It could be a play on words I've used or something. But it's really not like I pay attention to everybody's username.

Yes, youless, I do remember the usernames. My fonts are all in capitals, so it's relatively easier to remember me by name, isn't it? Actually, I do exactly opposite of you in this regard, I prefer to remember usernames more than avatars. If avatars overshadow usernames, then I guess I will pay less heed to the latter. If both are equally good, then it is username that I look into. Whatever be the case, I should be interested in that user, in the first place, to peep into his details.

Well, when I am responding to a post, it becomes a habit of mine to read other posts, and see who made the response, most especially if i found response very interesting. I sometimes even ask other member when I make posts on why they have this kind of nickname. Just like when I respond to a topic started by ihatehellokitty. I ask her, do you really hate hello kitty? nicknames at most times do speak something of the person.

I look at the nicknames quick then i just remember some so i think that works for me.

hi youless! well, not really, but i have sort of an affinity to a number of mylot nicknames, such as youless (hehe), carpenter5, sacrificial clam, gloomcookielex, and quite a few others, whose name i can recall when i see their discussions. and i answer them if i see them post something new. that is, whenever, i can catch them. God bless you friend! you are a very active mylotter! :-)

I know my good friends by name and some have avatars that stand out so I know their avatars too. But some names do stand out.

If you are talking about a mylotters username, then I guess it depends on how catchy the name is. I do remember some, but I have a hard time remembering them all (there are over 100,000 mylot users, after all :P), so if it isn't easy to remember it, then I will usually go by their avatar.

i don't usually take much notice of a nickname until i have sort of seen them around a few times and responded to their post and become friends and they have responded to mine,then i know them really well and look out for them.cheers sue

me too, i pay attention to avatar...some names are also funny i sometimes laugh at it.thanks

Of course I do,but most of time it is hard to remember them.But there are still something interesting attract my attention,and I wonn't forget when I see it at the first time.
