It was only while I was browsing the official site of the mini-series, "Comanche Moon," that I learned of the recent death of the accomplished actor, Floyd "Red Crow" Westerman. I know that many of you are likely familiar with his name, as he starred in lots of movies featuring Native American actors. I learned much about this amazing man that I had not previously known, like he was also an accomplished singer who had sang with many famous people over the years. Floyd was born in 1937 and died this past December of complications associated with Leukemia. He left a wife and four adult daughters. His appearance in the Comanche Moon mini-series was his last. He will be missed.

I can think of two movies he appeared in and that was the more recent Hidalgo and he was Jim Morrisons Shaman in the very old movie The Doors. I believe he was also featured on the Tribute album for Johnny Cash last year. It makes me so sad to hear about these people passing on.

Yes, ctry, it does indeed sadden you when you hear of so many going. I really admired his work, and, like I said, I wasn't even aware that he was also known for his singing ability.
