I'm sure it has to do with age but sometimes I can't remember what I did yesterday! lol...I definitely don't remember telephone numbers and addresses so I'm going to have to start writing them down since I used to call my mother to get them! The one thing I know I always do remember is names and faces. I could have met someome 6 months ago but will remember them if I bump into them again. I'm really starting to worry about the id's and passwords I use on websites so I'm starting to keep a list now just waiting for the day when I have a "brain fart" and can't get onto one of my sites. How is your memory? Do you remember phone numbers and addresses? What about people and faces....are they something you remember?

I have a pretty good memory. I can remember names, faces numbers and even what I ate. My husband has a terrible memory. He blames it on the 60's and everything he did then. I hear reading helps improve the memory process. I read alot so maybe that is true.

lol....so many people blame so many things on what they did in the '60's! I was married and too busy having babies to have done any of whatever they were doing to be able to blame my memory loss on the '60's.

Hehhe..you're going to hate me for this but I'm one of those people that pretty much has a memory like an elephant ...mmm...never could understand that phrase. Even though I have a bunch of phone numbers tacked up on this bulletin board near the phone I remember phone numbers of my friends without looking at it, and yes, I'm good with faces and names of people, even the ones I don't see that often. I've always pretty much have had a photographic memory...ah..but do confess to one oddity...I'll sometimes forget were the heck I put my glasses..grrrrr

The ONLY thing I can always find is my glasses because I'm extra careful with them. Without them I'm basically blind!

My memory depends on how much stress I am under, and how much rest I have had. Pass words to sites? Firefox remembers them for me, if I choose. Does not help me at work if I get a second or two on the puter. I had a little book that I put them all in, now I have a 5x8 three ring binder. I tabbed the letters and put everything in alphabetically. I do not really do much at work, so I do not carry it. I do hit myLot for one or two responses on some days, and that is the best of it. I remember faces, but not necessarily where I have seen them. That is embarrassing. Then of course there are the naturally friendly people you run into that talk to you, and then you ask, with a red face "Do I know you?". I have lots of stuff I remember from a long time ago, though. And from my Mother.

Stress plays a large part in my memory also especially where telephone numbers are concerned. It also happens when I meet someone and if I"m stressed out it takes more time for me to remember them.

I used to have an excellent memory. Nowadays I tend to forget names & maybe telephone numbers. I still have a good memory for events, news & issues that arise. Altzeheimers runs in my family, so I am trying to keep my brain has active as possible.

Alzheimers doesn't run in my family but I always think it has to begin somewhere right? I don't want it to be me so I try...and I'm saying TRY to keep my mind as sharp as I can so it won't happen to me.

I supposs some of it has to do with age,but you are doing good if you can remember names and faces, because i cannot do that at all.I have seen people that i have known and had a talk with them and i cannot even remember their name..I can not remember what i did yesterday sometimes either, sometimes i even forget what day it is or the date...I can remember some of my friends here on mylot, like i know a few things about them that i can remember..I guess it is natural...I know this if i am very interested in something and it means a lot to me ,i seem to be able to remember that stuff pretty good...I have also started keeping a few notes as well..I cannot remember what i need at the store so i write it down when i run out of something..i do that until grocery shopping time then i get the list and take it with me...my memory is better at times than at other times...Sometimes some things are better forgotten..Haha

Although I make a list to take a list to the store with me...I usually forget it...lol! Luckily I remember what I need most of the time. Yes, some things are better forgotten.

It's funny...somethings I have no problem remembering but other things are gone as fast as I think of them. MyLot discussions are like that. I'll be in the shower and think of a great one...by the time I get out...it's gone. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I remember names and faces okay but numbers and passwords have been very hard for me. I forget all the information I need to know and remember everything that is trivial. I am trying to play memory games so that maybe I can imporve my memory a bit. I guess we will see how that works out.

It seems like the older I get the less I remember I can remember thinks that happen a long time ago but my short term mind seem to be less and less but I do get brain farts a lot i am like Bill Crosby he will have his glasses on his head and wonder were they are or he will go out and to get something and forget what he's getting and when he goes back and sit down he will remember so I am like him if i forget i hit my bottom and pop there it is lol

I'm really good at remembering pretty much everything except for peoples names and the names of songs. My husband teases me because I can remember every single word to a song but, I have no idea who sings it or what the name of the song is. LOL

I think I've got selective memory. Somethings, like numbers, passwords, people's birthdays etc, I remember really well but things like what I learnt at school, people's names etc, I forget very easily!

I used top be so proud of my memory, because I never forgot anything. At work some one could ask me a question about something that happened weeks before and I would remember. Now I can't remember like that any more. I forget things from yesterday, too. I forget things in the evening from the morning. I don't remember phone numbers or names but I still usually remember someones face but not where I knew them from or their name. I write down the important things I need to know, just in case I forget them. I go to the store and I forget to pick things up so I write a list now, never used to.

I forget little things throughout the day like if my husband asks me in the morning to get him some razors I will forget and he will get mad at me that night that I forgot. I am fairly good at faces and phone numbers. My short term memory seems to be the thing messing with me.

I have a great memory for facts and for who said what and when. And I do remember faces but I may or may not remember why I know a certain face. And it takes me a while to remember names. Everything else I write down.I have all my passwords and I.D.s written down. I make little notes to help me remember Everything.

You know I'm going to say I think a lot of our not being able to remember is often caused by stress and ill health for me. I am getting worse all the time and if there's no improvement by Easter Time I'm thinking I will be able to hide my own Easter Eggs my friend!!!

I have a very good memory when it comes to people's faces and events. But I remember that as a student, I would study, retain the information until examination time, and then forget everything right after the test. It's weird.

Yes, it definately starts fading with age. I think stress plays a major role here too. They say that things to help you remember better are things such as dancing, as it takes physical action combined with thinking.
