Hi again, I've heard several times and read about the cash lot one might have in their own patio, wardrobe, basement, wherever, which might have brought you some unexpected income by selling it online, I guess it might have been on eBay. Would you share your experience or if you still do that, what are the items you have had most of the luck selling? What has been the weirdest thing someone has bought from you, and how about the most expensive you've ever sold? I've heard some people make a living out of that "hobby", honestly I would like to give it a try with all of your shared experiences.

Hey Hellabass, you go with the fishing stuff, if it's to get more items, that's great. It's like a cycle, that's how this business works even if it's not your intention to make a business out of it. Good luck with the catch, Best regards.

Hi HellaBass, That's great, as you mentioned, try looking around first, check out how it works and then go ahead and shoot. You will get something out of it, don't worry. So, is fishing some kind of hobby for you? Or do you do it regularly? Any other ideas you may have or heard about selling something online?

My BF and I have sold several things on ebay. We certainly don't make enough to quit our jobs, but when we find something worth selling, it makes for a nice little bit of pocket change. The key to making money on a sale is to know what sells well and then find that kind of item for really cheap and resell it on ebay. We found a box of old Transformers toys at a yardsale once and bought it for $3 because my BF said he thought they were originals and might have some value. He resold the items from the box individualy for about $200. Part of the sucess was timing, the Transformers movie was being made at the time so there was a little buzz that got people to be nostalgic about the toys and look them up. If we sold the same toys now, we might not make as much. Educate yourself in some selling catagories that interest you and then look for those types of items to resell. You will be more able to find bargins which will make you a larger profit when you resell. Good Luck.

Hi theproperator, Transformers were huge in their time, and as you mentioned, might have brought some memories to the people who bought them from you. That's a great idea, I haven't had time lately to check out local garage sales, but I'll be checking out for any type of item that's likely to be sold. Do you think as I mentioned, that is possible to make a living, maybe not that profitable, but at least to get trough along with, let's say like a part time job?

I think it is certainly possible to make a living selling on ebay. You just have to have a steady source of items to sell if you want a steady income. Good Luck.
