I really don't notice the options on mylot but I've come across a discussion today and found out that it has the report abuse button. I have heard that a lot of discussions have been deleted here and it might be because it was reported as abuse by other mylotters.
Have you ever reported a discussion as abuse? When is it time to report a discussion as abuse? and would the person who posted that discussion know who reported it as abuse?

I have always seen the report abuse button or the EXPLANATION MARK!! You are supposed to report abuse if the poster or responder is not following myLot guidelines. You are not to report abuse if he does not agree with you or if you think he is a racist because the neighbor who threw his garbage in his yard happened to be Black. If the person flames you, that is abuse, but in that case, many do not report because they are afraid of getting negatives.
I do not know of any right time, because of the revenge factor.

I've reported several discussions to mylot for abuse. I really do not think that anyone that reports a post as abuse is revealed to the person who posted the topic, that would defeat the purpose. I've had discussions and posts deleted before that I know do not fall under any type of abuse category, but someone just didn't like what I said and reported me and had them deleted, and I never found out who did.
Anytime someone posts something that does not follow mylot guidelines deserves to be reported. Anyone that posts nonsense discussions like nothing but one letter over and over again, or people that copy and paste lines from the posters topic and just leave it at that also deserve to be reported because they obviously are breaking the rules only to earn money. And, if users do not report these people, then we are never going to have a great quality place to earn extra cash because people that ruin the system are just taking away our money and our hard work.

I have reported abuse but like above it is when someone has been abusing in the comments section of my discussion.
A few times I had this particular girl go absolutely mental at me in me and no matter what I done she wouldn't stop so I reported her and then she done it once again and I reported her again and I think she must have got blocked but to be honest I think she deserved it.

I have only on two occasions reported some one as abuse. One was when a little man ( my discription of him) was very rude to me. I am not a member here to be abused but to make friends so when someone is very rude to me I will report them. I also reported someone for putting in a bunch of their links to get referrals to their sites. I noticed those two postings I reported are no longer here so I was right in reporting them. The person who is reporting isn't revealed to the other person. It says so in the guidelines. I normally don't report anyone but that day I did I was so mad at the person who was rude to me, that I had to do it. The second person, unfortunitly, got my wrath from the first person.
