Please can someone give me some idea how to get diesel and it's awful smell out of clothing, have washed the clothes for three full washes, used heaps of detergent and fabric softener and tried a cup of sugar in the last wash, cos someone said that works, they still stink!!!

Baking soda is a terrific deoderizer also Boraz Mule Team 20 20 is good. Also you can try LaFrance its a blueing agent. That gets out odors and stains. It turns the water blue, but it rinses out of the clothes fine. You dissolve it in the water before adding clothes. You can soak clothing in it, just don't let the clothes dry with the blue on it then it can stain. You can get the stuff in the laundry section at the store.

I would love to know as well! My husband works road construction, and drives the truck that carries all the fuel and water for the machines, so all his work clothes stink of diesel fuel...
