If You Are Powerful You Don't Have To Speak A Word. Is This True?

What comes to mind for me is actions speak louder than words. I believe this. Do You?
You Are
Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't.
-- Margaret Thatcher,
British Prime Minister
There is really only one person to whom you need to confide your power, and that person is you. Remind yourself often of just how powerful you are and then believe it. With each reminder your power will increase and the control you have over your own destiny will strengthen. For in this world, we do not become who we want to be by telling others. We become who we want to be by convincing ourselves that we already are.
May you always be aware of just how powerful you are.

I think it's true - in our family we have what is known as 'the mom look'. My mom still uses it on my sisters and I although we are all grown, I use it on my kids and this past mother's day I found out my grandmother used it on my mom.
"The Mom Look" - Mom doesn't say a word but just the look on her face you know you messed up big time.

I believe respect and admiration is not something that you demand from people. You earn it through your attitude, your character, your way of dealing with other people, how you respect them in return, your actions and the results of your actions. That's how other people realize the power in you.

In our language, which derives mainly from latin and greek, we have two words that can stress the concept:
1. 'signore' which means sir, or lord, but ethymologically means that he is one who just has to indicate, to point with is finger in order to obtain, that just is signs are orders for his followers... no words needed.
2. 'donna' which means whoman but also lady in some obsolete usage, which is still used as a sort of vintage, well it derives directly from latin 'domina' which can be translated 'signora': the feminine of lord, a landlady... no word needed again, and she's who as the 'dominio' which can be translated as power.
By the way there are many similarities from one Euro/Western country language to another so from a phylological point of view there are many words deriving from one another in these modern languages and from ancient ones.
good bye
