Hello Mylotters My hubby suddenly suggested we should go to America this coming summer for a 2 weeks holiday. I don’t know he may change his mind or not. But for the time being, I am excited as we have never been there yet. So I start looking and visiting the travel sites to get more information for this event. For 2 weeks, where should we go? New York, Sanfrancisco or Las Vegas or …? So I really need your help to provide me some main information like which cities should we visit? When is the better season for a visit? Summer or Winter? If you were me, where would you visit? Many thanks in advance for responding me.

I have been to California three times now because it offers so much great sightseeing. I loved seeing San Francisco with the steep streets with the trams running down them. Sea lions can be seen on pier number 69. The Golden Gate Bridge is so beautiful and there is stunning walk along to it that I so enjoyed doing. I liked going to pretty Santa Barbara where the beach is lovely and the surrounding hills beautiful. There was much to interest me in the huge city of Los Angeles. I saw posh Beverly Hills, fun Disneyland, famous Hollywood and exciting Venice Beach. I also really liked lovely San Diego. You could include Las Vegas in this trip quite easily. The best season for that trip would be summer, spring or the fall (autumn). I haven't been there yet but a two week trip would be fine for seeing New York, Boston and Washington. A city I might choose is Seattle then pop up to Vancouver in Canada. Good luck choosing where to go. Happy traveling.

You must be a very good holiday maker as you have been to so many cities in America. Should I buy the full package from the travel agent or just buy the airtickets; book the hotel and join the city tour once we are there?

I think it's the big apple -- New York. After all, New York is one of the most important cities in America and also all over the world. It is quite different from here and I like to see it. It must be so interesting.

True, it will be the first choice.
