Do you believe in the power of the tarot cards? Have you ever had a reading?Have you ever had a tarot card reading and what was said has actually come true or do you think it's just coincidence or trickery behind it? I have a tarot deck which is the Rider Waite deck, I actually bought the cards on Friday 13th!!! but I don't have the talent or mastery to be able to give readings, my parents won't have anything to do with them. I know that the death card doesn't necessary mean death, but death of a relationship, job or event in your life, and there is a lot of suspicion, doubt and black magic tied to them I wonder in having them it has brought me bad luck? I am not sure if you can give yourself a tarot card reading, some say you can't read your own cards, others do! Have you got a tarot deck, do you give yourself a reading or others?

I don't believe in the power of Tarot cards. However, I do believe in the power of human beings, and our ability to how use divination-type tools to better understand ourselves and our lives. Therefore, Tarot becomes just another tool, like a hammer or a cooking pot. How I learned to read Tarot: my great-grandmother had me take a card and meditate on it for a long period of time. She would give me a "book" definition, and then explain how she saw the card, and then challenge me to decide what the card means to me. Over time, I came to find my own associations for various cards. I read Tarot for myself mostly, though occasionally I will give a reading for someone else. I don't give readings for people who aren't open to it, or to people who have continually asked me for readings about the success of some venture that they haven't put any real work into. Magic or divination is not a substitute for action. If your Tarot deck is bringing you bad luck, it's because you believe it is bringing you bad luck. Belief has power, period. If it would make you feel better about the cards, learn a cleansing spell to do on them, to clear them of any negative energies.

VERY well spoken, Lecanis! I was going to say something similar, but you did it for me. You gave excellent guidance to someone who appears young and needful of such a wise hand as yours. Thank you for such positivity and clarity.

Thanks, nova! I'm glad you liked my response. I was lucky to have a good teacher on these matters myself, so I try to help others when I can. I had to laugh about the young thing, though, since I'm almost 10 years younger than dear Wolfie here. Oh, Wolfie, how come you aren't on my friends list yet? I thought sure you were...

I had a deck of tarot cards once. But somehow, during one of my moving house times, I lost it. I was sure I put in in xxx, but I can never find it since. *sniff* Anyway while I had it, I find interpreting hard. There are simply so many interpretations and I am inclined to think that you need "talent" for tarot reading.

I don't have tarot cards sweety and I don't think they bring bad luck. I do think that like many other things we do not really understand there is some reality in there but like all the other areas there are many people out there who will try and exploit and manipulate others through the use of tarot cards! xxxx

I don't think that they bring bad luck but I think that one must be careful with the given interpretation. I've had one reading by a kind little old lady but I'm sure that what she said was based on common sense and not really on the way I picked such and such card.

The Tarot cards have to be read by someone that has the EYE to see what is not written.. I do believe in the cards,visions,premonions,esp,ghosts,spirits... Honey I have seen what the wind does but never seen the wind but it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist! There are many things here that some will see and benefit from and others never will...Faith... Find a REAL tarot reader and spend some time with them if you want to learn to read..Maybe you will have the EYE and maybe it will be best left to someone else..I suspect that when you stand naked having thrown off the baggage you carry you may find you have some special talents! Open up Doll...xoxoxoxoxo

I don't believe in tarot cards or any other readings of our future. The reason for my not believing any more, and I once did, is because my aunty decided one day to be a sear, read others futures, and she didn't take any lessons or teachings. She just decided she wanted to do this for a living and got a license and went to work in a mall. She set up a table, put up a sign and voila, she was a tarot card reader. I watched from a distance one day, and saw many many people stop and pay her the $10 and sit down and have their cards read. I felt like telling them to not waste their money because she couldn't read their cards anymore than you or I can. She now reads tea leaves and palms too, without any formal training. Anyone can do this to make money.

I have and use,(for myself)a deck of Aurthurian cards. There are ready made books of the meanings of each card, but it is up to the individual reader and the energy that is produced by the person being read, that will give you a very good past, present and future look at that life. the cards themselves of course are not magik, the answers are very truthfull when done by a witch with the proper training and insite into the truth of the cards. As I have read for myself many times,I find that the majority is correct, and just as important, there are always more than one answer,so not all be right all the time, but it is up to you,if you beleive, you will find truth. Blessed Be.

i have had a couple of readings (tarot), my friends think im a little nuts for it., but to be honest the last one i had, totally was mindblowing, because months later,. everything he told me came true. its was so eery, that i didn't go and have anymore read. i would like to go again but it kind of scares me. i do read my daily horoscope and on msn they have a free tarot reading,, but i think its mostly computer generated, so i really never see anything come true, or hit right on from that.

Don't believe that a Tarot card can tell your fortune. Sounds like you are messing a bit with the dark arts. It is like those horoscope things you get in the paper, you can read anything in them and it does open the door to Satanic influences. I would get rid of them as soon as possible, before they lure you into their trap by predicting good things, and then the evil starts to creep in. The devil is a trickster. He will give you what you seem to want but then wham, that brings you bad luck.

Over the years I have had a couple of readings but to be honest I dont think any of them where the real thing at all but I do believe that some people do have the power to do it and I do believe it can be a dangerous thing if you don't know what you are doing. Sometimes I think it is best leaving well alone as sometimes we are better off not knowing but there is always something pulling me towards it. I didn't have a reiki treatment done once by a woman who could pick up things about people and she scared me cos she knew stuff that only i could know. Unfortunately I left there feeling drained mentally. I felt like I had been robbed emotionally,.

I don't have tarot cards but one of my best friend has and he is really good with it. I asked him one time if he reads his own future and he said no. He didn't mention the reason though. I got him into giving me a reading once in awhile or when I have a difficult situation. He is pretty accurate in most of the things and I am really amazed by the power of tarot cards.

You could be bringing yourself bad luck when opening yourself up to fortune telling. You may or may not believe in God but in the Bible it warns not to do fortune telling because it will bring evil into your life.If it was me I would throw them away.
