Yes, it is true. The world today is confused and yearning for guidance. There is the Bible, the Tora, the Koran, the Bahavata Gita, and many others, but the answers to what troubles the world have been available for a long time. In fact, since the 1950's and 1960's !

For the most part not bad advice. What do you think?

Hey Red,
What a great find! Thanks for sharing.
Funny how similar they all are, eh? I love the fact the most offer very strong support for cleanliness. Yup, I'll stand behind that.
I started to get a little woozy at about the end of "The Lone Ranger Creed". Other than than, I'd say this is still great advice today!

Too bad Superman was not a cowboy. His slogan of fighting for "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" always sounded good to me. It also has the added benefit of driving certain people absolutly crazy.

Wow, you are on a serious information roll, Adoniah!
I absolutely did not know that Superman whooped up on Hitler. I've never been much of an animation fan, though I just might have to look that one up. I'd rather enjoy reading about how 'the man of steel' took down the 'heart of steel'.
Thanks for the 'heads up'.

Definately good words to live by. Now, if we could just get our politicians and the rest of the world's leaders to live by these words too; the world would be a better place for everyone.

The problem with politicans is that they think these rules are made for everyone else, not special people like themselves.

"special people" isn't that how they describe people who are mentally or physically "challenged". I would say that a lot of our politicians fall into that category; BUT, that would be insulting to people who are mentally or physically challenged.

Yes, very good advice all around. I wish more people adhered to the cowboy code of ethics.

Yes, the cowboy code is pretty good. Now, I'm wondering what the current generation will be nostalgic about in 40 years as to codes of conduct?
Imagine, 40 years from now, 2 Sixty year olds commenting, "Where are the role models of yesterday? Where are the Britney Spears, Paris Hiltons & Kurt Cobane's?"

I agree, all in all, pretty good advice. I'm even old enough to have seen some of those guys when their shows were new.

I think these were good advice and pretty much sums up how a person should live and treat themselves and others.
It is too bad that so few actually believe these things anymore.

hello there to U...in my own point of view, there would be no confusion here on Earth, if people would know how to understand the truth...and the truth is written in the book of the BIBLE which is inspired by our living GOD...we people, shoud learn to appreciate all HIS wonderful creation... HE is the One who created us and all these stuffs on Earth...as a simple CHRISTIAN girl who loves GOD, i do believe that there is a true living GOD here on Earth...i respect other beliefs, but i truly believe in the power of GOD... HE gave HIS only begotten SON JESUS CHRIST for us to have eternal life and not perish...if only people would open their eyes and seek the right way, the world would not be confused or in trouble... JESUS is the way, the truth, and the life...if we follow HIS footsteps, we'll never get lost...because JESUS will never leave you nor forsake you...let's try to open our doors for HIM...let's put GOD in our hearts, and in the center of our lives...let's have faith with good works...living in the right way with GOD's help, i think there would be a brighter world...have a blessed day ahead of U...may GOD BLESS U & UR family always!!!

My brother actually had that pamphlet when he was a kid. He got a full cowboy outfit from an Aunt for his birthday one year and that was in the box with it. Cowboys were his heros and he memorized those words! He didn't live by them but he memorized them.
They are good rules to live by. Simply put and to the point. Maybe they should be put up in classrooms. At least the ones without G'd in them. Those would not be allowed, but the rest would. They are kind of like the Boy Scout motto too.
By the way Torah has an h at the end. Just thought I'd mention it.
Shalom~Adoniah

OOPS... sorry about misspelling Torah.
One thing about this cowboy code is that it is mostly specific instances of the Golden Rule.
