What happened to winter?

I've been daring mother nature to hit me with a snowball for weeks now. NOTHING...
Last night I thought I might actually see a white morning. There was actually a little snow on the ground last night at 10:00. My wife even brought in a snowball to play with. Then at 10:30 the temperature went up & it all turned to rain & washed away.
We haven't had a real winter in Tennessee in years. All we get are cold spells that don't even kill off the bugs. If this keeps up we're going to have to change the callendar to 3 seasons called fall, spring & drought.
Are you getting much of a winter in your neighborhood? Do you like seeing it snow?

I'm in Texas and the weather hasnt went below 50 during the day maybe a little below 50 but still, we had like forever 70 degree days and it felt like spring or something its like no winter LOL. Its just a weird year I dont think its has anything to do with a global warming b/c this has happend before and we arnt at records. So its jsut a crappy winter b/c its nothing like winter should be. other than that yes I love snow but no here in Texas even on a good year we dont really get snow but frozen ice thats not enough to go and have fun in

Come visit PA. We are getting a good snow here! Has it always been warmer during the winter out there?? Maybe it's global warming.

Well that was us for the past three years. Boy did that change this year. Three major snow storms we had in one week, 8 storms in the month of December. Too much man. We made the record books. We used to get large mountains of snow when I was a kid. Those days seemed to be gone. Then we were snapped right out of that illusion. Come to Nova Scotia Canada...we got enough for you to last a life time! Namaste

We are experiencing a very cold spell here in Ohio, will be expecting roughly 10 degrees by morning. The fact that there is little precipitation when it is this cold is why we can't get any good snowball fights . . . gosh I wish any rain right now could come along and freeze its way across the northern skies ! Well a bit southern too for your sake, sorry !

We're dealing with the same thing here.More than ten years ago we could still skate on nature ice,but since then we don't have it anymore. Also we didn't have a lot of snow either just small snow fall and it didn't even stick to the ground.I like seeing snow but i hate it when i have to get through it by bike or by car.

Winter - in southern california?! I sure do miss it tho! But the nights have been rather cold here, warms up to 70's during the day. CA is to busy having fires and Santa Ana winds tearing things up to have any winter! I hear the snow in the mountains for skiing is pretty good tho. Don't ski, just what the weather man says!

Trade you,I hate snow and cold,I have lived 60 +years with it,and I am looking for ways out of here,I thought of Tenn.,arizona,texas,Virg.,but as of yet, don't have the money, but hope to some day.
There is however, one place I love to see snow, and that is high in the mountains for spring runoff.

We haven't had much snow but I know it is coming. Any time we get three or four days of really nice weather we get hit with a couple feet of snow about a week later. We get flurries here and there but nothing that amounts to an inch or two overnight. So far they have only had one school delay and that was only two hours.

I don't live here, but I am in Maryland right now. We got a ton of snow here. It all happened in a matter of hours. There have been all kinds of closings for the past couple of days because of it. This is the first snow I have seen all year that has lasted a whole day. It has snowed a couple of times in New Jersey but it never even lasted through an afternoon.
