Now that Daytona testing is complete, and the Daytona 500 is just one month away, what surprises have grabbed your attention during the "preseason" this year?
Here are a few highlights of the past two weeks:
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. led a few sessions of single car speeds during week two.
Toyotas were among the fastest cars in both single car speeds and drafting.
Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson were among the fast speeds.
The open-wheelers, Hornish, Franchitti, and Carpentier had good speeds.

I sure missed Micheal Waltrip last season I think it was the Toyotas not being as fast. It sounds like maybe Toyota has found their groove. I hope that Dale Jr. does well this year to prove that he is still a great driver just like his dad was. I am above all a Tony Stewart fan and hope he keeps it exciting again this year. I can't wait for the season to begin!

That does sound exciting. I have to find what station carries the race. I like car races, they are so exciting. I have not seen that many though, that is all the way through. I also heard they are quite dangerous and perhaps that is why I do not watch them that often.

I'm just ready for speedweeks to start. Preseason means nothing to me. All it is is Daytona testing. People are always sandbagging during the winter testing at Daytona so it's hard to tell who the real contenders for the 500 are going to be. Surely HMS is as they always are but the others are unknown. The biggest story to me will be how Joe Gibbs Racing performs now that they're with Toyota. Tony Stewart has looked good in testing but like I said, it's just testing and it's unknown if that will translate to the race.

I'm ready for the 500. I heard where Kasey Kahne had one of the fastest times during one of the test sessions while all the cars were on the track, Dale Jr's was while he was out there alone. I would think having a better time with all the cars is better for the 125s but if you can grab the pole (which Earnhardt has a great shot at) then it won't matter.
