making friends

I have met alot of my real life friends online. Yep! But first you need to join a community where you share the ssame passionate interests. For me, the love of a fictional couple (who wasn't even a couple) on the daytime soap, General Hospital. Once I started looking at the General Hospital sites---and there are tons out there, I started posting regularily at one that was particularily warm and friendly, and I was kind of surprised at just how many people out there were like myself, loved the show and wanted to see this couple get together. Thar was 8 years ago. I have since branched off and started my own community for this fictional couple that are finally getting together...talk about the longest soap opera angst ever. But they are finally getting together, because litterally thousands of people like me got together and formed online friendships and never gave up our zest to see these 2 get together. Well in that 8 years, I have met some really terrific people (a few who actually live quite close to me). We began meeting at public places, went out to dinner Hubbies incl) and became good friends. This fictional couple also have had a couple public appearances that I have met some of my message board people at!

Yeah I have met lots of friends from online games and such just becareful because there are alot of people who just play the game to steal from others.

I would like to add also if you have myspace there is alot of people on there you can search for friends that are close to you and the interest that you have.
