Who came up with this law?

Maybe they just do not like messy people on Sunday in Georgia? You have to admit that one is really funny! There is a law on the books in a town in Mo. that says you can only hitchhike in one direction. I think that is to keep vagrants on their way out of town.

It would be interesting to know when the law was written. Many weird laws for us where useful sometime back. In my home country we have laws against driving with flip-flops but apparently you can do it barefoot.

That's really funny! However, I imagine you can have a hot fudge sundae on a Sunday -- and if you were dingy enough to put it in your pocket...at least it's not a cone. In California it's against the law for a woman to drive whilewearing her bathrobe (and I've done it -- good thing I didn't meet up with any cops).
