Public Restrooms!

put it like this i only sit on the seat in the public (kinda) restroom at my job. even then i clean the seat before i sit. i say kinda because at my job we have to use our id pass to enter the restroom, so people who dont work here cant use our bathroom. other than at work i try to wait til i get to a private bathroom if i cant wait then i do not sit on the seat.

I urinate standing up. I defecate sitting down. I tend to dread using the public restrooms, but in the cases where I MUST sit - I grab some paper towels and line the seat first.

People who 'hover' over the seat are just being ridiculous. Wipe the seat down if necessary, and just sit. Those stories about getting all kinds of diseases etc. from sitting on a public toilet seat are myths...the BUTT can't really contract diseases, unless you had an open sore on your butt and there was HIV-POSITIVE BLOOD on the seat, lol. And how often does that happen? :P Rational people tend to be less 'reactive' about stuff like this once they learn the truth--the dirtiest part of our bodies, BY FAR, are our hands. No other part even comes close. A public restroom's toilet seat is the least of your worries, for those who've been misled to believe that it's actually dangerous to sit directly on a toilet seat. So, as you can probably guess, of course I do. I don't like sitting in wetness, so I may wipe it down first if it looks wet, but I'm not going to defecate SQUATTING IN MID-AIR just to avoid contact with the toilet seat, lol.
