I agree about the emergency room. He's such a young age. How's he feeling now?

If you have a nose aspirator and perhaps some saline spray drops or something I would clean out his nose if you can. Sometimes putting in a little bit of drops and then sucking out the snot will help to breath a bit easier. Also put him to sleep either in a baby swing, or perhaps even his carseat, if he is elevated a bit he will sleep better and be able to breath easier as well.
You can also get baby vicks for him that is safe and just rub it like on the chest on the outside of his sleeper if you know what I mean, that should help him rest too. And ALSO I would see what you can do by sitting in steam with him for a bit. This also will help to loosen up the snot or mucus that is making him stuffed up, and then sit in that for about 15 to 20 minutes, then maybe suction out his nose again...
I hope all this helps it is not fun to do but should help and I know how you feel you are feeling helpless but just take things one at a time, he will be okay and so will you. Try all these out if these still do not help you can always just spray a little saline drops into his nose without sucking out too if that helps to loosen the mucus...whatever you can do to allow him to sleep is always the best...elevation is key!!

take him to the doctor. or hospital. if they tell you that you're being paranoid parent then get a second opinion because they do that to parents. and dont take you serriously. but i know when my son was that age he had alot of issues too but he wasnt really sick.. but keep on asking for help. it is the best theing to do.

well for the stuffy nose I would put some Vapo Rub on his chest, and maybe run a humidifier to help clear his nose and throat.....You kind of have to run with the flow of his sleeplessness until it subsides..maybe try giving him a little massage to calm him down, relax him..........just keep holding him, it's ok candace, us mothers go through this...you're doing good, no matter what.

You really need to take him to the emergency room as soon as you can. This isnt something to mess with. These are symptoms of west nile virus.
If he's puking, he'll be dehidrated so you will want to try to keep fluids in him like water or pedialite.

Call his doctor immediately. Babies dehydrate very quickly. If the inside of his mouth feels sticky or his eyes or soft spot look sunken he is already dehydrated. You shouldn't fool around with infant illnesses, it is always better to call the doctor.

Is he still eating and drinking? Take him to the emergency room. He may need a decongestant to help him breathe easier. The tylenol will help him if he has pain but will not help his breathing.

I would take him to the ER... he is too young to be waiting any longer. Its better to be safe than sorry. I would be careful with the BabyVicks. I have it right here and it says for babies 6 months and older. I've been using it on my kids for the last week for their congestion but they are 1 & 3.
I know its scary but take him to the ER. Don't give him anymore Tylenol either, he is a little young for that also.
Just try to stay calm, let us know how he's doing!

Take him to the emergency room. If he is puking, he will be dehydrated soon... and that is very dangerous.
