Does anyone know how to get rid of a virus type worm thing?

Go to to symantec.com and download if you can pay so. Else you can go to Download.com and search for symantec. The version won't be latest here but you can download the latest virus definitions after intallation. I hope this works.

Worms are nothing but small programs that open a port on your pc to the foreign world. Now once the worm is installed on a machine, usually through email attachments, spyware etc, the person who made it can utilise access sensitive information in your pc and even control it. The only way to control this is by using a anti virus (like Symantec) software as well as installing a firewall software (like Zonealarm). These will give you alerts if any mal-activity occurs.
