Is there going to be another Pirates of the carribean?

Even though the book ends on the third movie i think they should make another movie. There were alot of hits and alot of raves about this movie, and if so what actors should they bring back and leave out? i for one think Orlando should leave...i think thats his name...ugh...owell but i think he should.

I really dont feel that the franchise should continue. I think the story has more than been told, and anything being added to it, would just kill the concept.

Hmm and what do u feel the concept was? at the end they showed that there was another story to start.

No offence, I understand that their is a possibility for another film, that the door was left open.
Yet my personal feeling is that if more films get made, it would mainly be for monetary profit. Not to make a good movie, out of a good story. Not to make a fine piece of art. Only to merely push the making of another product, to sell.
I hate when sequels are produced for the only sake of making more profits.
So I would hope that they keep these installments as they are, so that they dont completely ruin the series, if the fourth one would end up being awful..

No offense taken just saying if the movie makes the audiance think that there is going to be another movie comming out i think that they should thrive onto that and make another one, but i understand ur point aswell everytime they make a new sequal they do screw it up. But out off all the movies they still havent made one screw up atleast not that i can see. The harry potter movies in other hand, is just a mess thats a very good example of a terrible sequal gone bad.

I love Pirates so much I would love to see more but I don't think it would be as good as the others.. I would leave it as it is......

I think alot would still see it if there was another, but you wouldn't want it to disappoint....... The writers would have to work hard on it to make it successful..... I love Johnny Depp, he is an excellent actor and he couldn't disapoint me...

Well as long as it had Depp in it i dont see it going down so much, but if they added some rookie actors then maybe it will go south. But then again i didnt look into consideration that the movie writers are still on strike so i guess u have a point.

Usually a trilogy is only three, but Star Wars was a trilogy and you see what happened to that series of movies. They certainly left Pirates open so that they could make another movie. I have not heard of any more in the making, but if they do, I don't care who they cast as long as Depp is in it. He is the one who made the movies worth watching, without him it would be just another movie. Knowing Depp's history, he will probably move on to something else, even though he made other movies while doing the pirates trilogy.

Im not sure if that is correct. You see, the first set of Star Wars films, were considered a trilogy, but only because more where never made. Yet, the potential was always there because the whole star wars series is based on a heap of novels.
In fact there could be another set of 3 Star Wars films, because there are more novels to the series.
And place in mind, that all of these novels were written a looong time ago.. There is over a dozen novels in the series..

hey there, I love Orlando in the lord of the rings movie and also in the pirates but i loved depp more in this movie, maybe the reason why u want him out is that depp needs no other actor to help him out coz he alone can make the movie a blockbuster, well that wud be a good suggestion, i was wonderin at first why depp has no leading lady in the film but i loved his role anyway, orlando plays a major role in the movie so i guess they wud be hard up in removing his character.

True i agree with all of you, i think Johnny Depp was mostly the only reason they had alot of sales.
