Global warming and carbon trade

With existence issue of global warming, many big nations give a number of fund to state which still have forest. There is term of "Carbon Trade", that is buying carbon yielded by forest. But non its tree which bought, owner of forest ordered to look after the forest, and expense of for treatment given by big nations. There is certain orders for that. Can forest defended...? I hope it's safe... too many life depend on forest..!!
