Imagine a big film studio or television company approached you with a fantastic job offer, it would mean a massive, substantial wage and you would be able to afford everything you desired, home, car, clothes, five star holidays and fame! BUT The part they offered you was to play an evil character in a film or a soap or a tv production where the audience would absolutely hate you! You would have to play a rapist or a child abuser or a vile piece of scum that audiences love to hate Would you do it or would you turn down the part, knowing that you are struggling to live and money is very very tight, you have no car, you live in a very small bedsit or apartment You are also SINGLE, have no relationship Can be both a male and female role But remember taking the job would mean absolute riches

I don't think money is everything my darlin but then again a bit of security is nice - and if you are an actor then it would be a good challenge to play this type of role! I don't know if I could as you never know how it would affect your children but I guess at the end of the day people know that you are playing a part and it isn't really you! Big hugs sweety! xxxxx

You know, I would think that it would be more fun to play a character like that! It is so radically opposed to my actual character that I think it would be more fun to be something other than what I was. I would hope, as well, that people viewing whatever show it was on would keep in mind that it was a role being played and not truth. I wouldn't really care all that much if people didn't like me though. I have come to a point in my life where I have realized that popularity and having the approval of others doesn't make life worth living, being able to look at myself in a mirror with a clear conscious does. So, yeah.... I'd TOTALLY do and have fun with it!

If I was an actress yes, I would. That's my profession. I think my acting abilities and looks are more suited to the role of villain than any other part. The riches would be more intimidating than anything else. I would be so afraid of failing or forgetting my lines and losing everything...lol.

I would have no problem with taking the part, wolfie, because it would only be an acting job. There will always be parts where the actor is hated for the role, but well-balanced people are aware that the actor is only doing their job. I can think of no reason why someone in such a position wouldn't jump at the opportunity.

Pft, yes. Everyone knows that the villain is almost always the most interesting part to play. They have the best lines, often the best outfits and (oddly) the most devout fans. Everyone remembers the villain.

yes, i would as therehas to be someone to play the role, these charcters need to be played as they highlight that rapists and child abusers do exist. when a new movie or a new character that come to our screens is involved he or she needs to do alot of research in to playing this role, because they want to get it right. i would much prefer to be remembered playing that kind of role than an action hero or something. poignant roles dont come along often and neither do good scripts, also these kinds of roles. these kind of roles need to be addressed more i think to represent the people that this has happenned to and give other people an insight to what the consequences of this characters actions are.

I do not think I could play the bad lady, unless it was in a comedic role like Cruela in One Thousand and One Dalmatians or that evil boss in the Devil Wore Prada. But I could not play an evil person. And when I was single, I would have preferred being the heroine, unless of course Glen Close was sick and they offered me the part of Cruela in One Thousand and One Dalmatians. :)

It would be nice to make all of the money in the world, but, believe it or not, it really does not mean all that much to me. I want to make a little better than enough to make sure that the bills are paid each and every month, that my wife and I have a comfortable home to live in and that we are happy. Next, I love to write and I love to role play and have always loved to be in plays. It really did not matter what character, good or bad, that I played, but today, I would struggle with playing the "bad guy." I do not believe that I could be the character of a rapist or an axe murderer or a serial killer. This is just not my style. There are great actors and actresses in Hollywood who do a great job playing the villain, yet, in real life they are the greatest people you would probably get to know. The unfortunate non-example for a lack of better terms in this respect is O.J. Simpson. It would probably have been great to know him when he played football because I think he was great at that and at the same time I think he became an incredibly ugly villain. Unfortunately, he became a real life villain and not a role playing villain.

I believe that I would have to take the job. Every television show and movie has to have a bad guy and a lot of times they get more exposure than the good guys. And it is just one show or movie, sure people will despise you on film but I think everyone has a concept that its just a movie. Think about all the bad guys in films and how many people still love the real person even though they may hate their character.
