2 MBPS = 2 Mega Bits Per Second. Sometimes you can't get the full speed may cause by pc problem such as virus, spyware and windows problem. There are also cases where the modem that you are using is not compatible with the provider's equipment.

MBPS usually stands for MegaBITS per second. Also, the stated speed provided is usually a theoretical maximum and you very rarely can achieve that. The actual speed depends on a number of factors such as your distance from the server, the quality of your phone line and the number of users on your node at the same time.

Most of the internet connection speed differs from the actual speed. I am having unlimited 96 kbps asianet connection, but the download speed is only 10 kbps and it increases to 15 kbps after the peak hours. I think the speed increases off the peak time. I think BSNL is a very good connection and 256 KB speed is very good.

My bsnl internet download speed reaches a max of 300 Kilo Bytes per second. I use static IP address and not the one provided by BSNL. for more details goto http://satishmania.blogspot.com
