I think that the lakers will win about 70% percent of the games that Bynum will be out. Most will be grind em' out, ugly games.. but I think the lakers will struggle but still succeed. And I imagine that it will arrive as a big surprise to many people.
Do you think the lakers will sink or swim, while Bynum is out?

Now that Pau Gasol is in their lineup, they should see losses only on rare occasions. The roster they formed thanks to their trade with the Memphis Grizzlies and the youthful players they have collected over the previous few seasons have molded them into a formidable force for the years to come.

Gasol is most surely changing the dynamic of this team, and with him on the roster, the Lakers will have no problem competing..

Kwame Brown no longer matters with Pau Gasol in uniform for the Los Angeles Lakers. Who needs a first overall pick bust when the Lakers already has a proven contributor across several statistical category and a picture of consistency in Gasol?
Getting Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies for Kwame Brown and Javaris Crittenton looks like a steal however you look at it, and the Lakers have turned from playoff contenders to championship team overnight.

I think the Lakers are going to take a hit from Bynum not being in the mix. I don't think it will be a dramatic as some think though. I think Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, and Turriaf will all step up to fill the role that Bynum had. I still think the Lakers will be a top seed team, just not as high as they would have been with Bynum.
