I would like to share an article I have read..
1. Kobe Bryant versus LeBron James
2. Tim Duncan versus Kevin Garnett
3. Steve Nash versus Jason Kidd
4. Yao Ming versus Dwight Howard
5. Chris Paul versus Deron Williams
I don't think I would disagree with any of those listed. My personal favorites as per the list provided, are Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. How about you?

those are great match-ups. my all-time favorite is Scottie Pippen vs. Grant Hill, Michael Jordan vs. Reggie Miller or Michael Jordan vs. NY Knicks.
my todays favorite matchup are:
Jason Kidd vs. Steve Nash (Battle of the two point Gods)
Chris Paul vs. Deron Williams (battling for the second point god)
Dirk Nowitzki vs. Rasheed Wallace (both can shoot outside)
I also like Bruce Bowen vs. Ron Artest (both can hurt you when you try to score hehe)
dream matchup:
Dennis Rodman vs. Ben Wallace ( battle of the two monster rebounder and defender)

Here is my matchup, I don't consider this as the top NBA matchups, but it is quite a lookup.
Steve Nash vs. Chris Paul (Paul's numbers this season is always labelled as "Steve Nash-esque")
Dwayne Wade vs. Baron Davis (wade plays PG also)
Ben Wallace in his prime vs. Marcus Camby
Kobe vs. LeBron (two incomparable players matched up)
Deron Williams vs. Jason Kidd (if only Kidd posts more numbers on his triple-doubles, then he, too, is incomparable)
Shawn Marion vs. Mike Miller (the battle of the silent killers)
