When do you prefer to shower?

I usually shower in the morning before work. i have to be at work at 6:45 am. I am trying to change my habit to showering before I go to bed though. That way I have more time in the morning. There were a lot of mornings when I was running behind. I also think that showering at night will help me have more time to fix my hair. I know that sounds so shallow. I have really long hair. You can see it in the pic. It is half way down my back now. I have to wash it, then dry it, then straighten it. That takes time that I can't spare after showering. Especially when I work doubles and just want to stay in bed.
And it's so cold in the morning. I don't want to get undressed our of my pjs or dressed out of my robe after I put it on. If I shower at night and only have to change once and do my hair, I will have time to do other stuff like drink some coffee. lol
When do you shower? Why?

I shower in the morning but theres times that don't want to because I am too tiered or I know its going to be cold but I get up anyways. I used to shower at night but I didn't like going to sleep with wet hair and I didn't want to take the time to dry it. So now I always shower in the morning.

I've always showered in the morning as well. I think that showering at night helps me to go to sleep some. I have a bad back. It hurts all the time and sometimes sleep with the heating pad, yeah not a good idea. I think the hot water right before bed helps.

I use the heating pad, but I tend to fall asleep on it and wake up in the middle of the night sweting. Then I have red lines across my back for the next day. And my back injury covers so much area that I can't use the heating pad on all the areas at once.

I know what you mean by the shower helping you with your back. I have FMS and find that a warm shower before bed helps me sleep but I haven't done that lately I just normally put my heated mattress pad on low to help me.

I usually shower at night, for the same reason as you mentioned, because when you shower in the morning and then go outside its WAY too cold! and your hair freezes and its just not fun!
The only downside is i soemtimes go to bed with my hair wet, Okay, so i almost always go to bed with my hair wet, and its all funky in the morning lol. I guess that's ok though cause i dont have anyone i need to impress ;) I have short hair, so its not much work. I like it long, but i dont like to take the time it takes to make it look proper!

Yes, it takes so long. I wear mine in a ponytail or clip almost everyday. I am so tired of it. And I have decided that I need to meet a guy so I need to start looking a little spiffier.

I change clothes when I get home from work but I don't usually shower. I have a young daughter so I like to save all my extra time for her when I get home. Sometimes we shower together in the evening.

People don't shower all the time. It is a matter of personal preference.

I usually have a warm shower late in the night before I tuck into bed. I like to sleep feeling clean in my pyjamas. It makes me sleep well too. The only problem about showering late in the night is that I can't wash my hair, because drying it will take some time. So on those days where I need my hair washed, I will have an additional shower in the morning just to wash my hair.

When I was younger, my father used to tell me not to sleep when my hair is still damp after a wash, because I might get headaches. Not sure if that's old wife's tale, but just to be sure, I have practised not washing my hair late at night just before bedtime. That's ok for me, because I'm a guy.

That sucks. I don't mind having wet hair when I go to bed. I kmow that I can get up in the morn and straighten it. Then it will look better than if I just throw it in a ponytail.

Hi just2crazygirlz! When I was working I would take my shower at night because my hair was long too. I would blow dry it at night and then in the morning I would just have to curl it. It was so much easier. I even could sleep in alittle longer. But now that Im not working I take my shower in the morning.LOL

I sometimes don't even shower on my day off. I think it is good to let your hair go without washing it. I do this maybe once a week. I feel way dirty if I go to work without showeringn and have to come home on break and shower.

I take a shower whenever I feel like it. Evening or morning doesnt really matter to me. But when I read your story outhere, you better take the shower in the morning and get up an hour earlier instead of showering just before going off to bed. Otherwise you get up and have a bad hair day to follow. If you do all the washing, drying and styling of your hair in the mornings you look prettier. Or you take both, showering in the evening just for relaxation and showering in the mornings to wake up and look fine.

My hair is so long that if I shower before I go to bed, it is still wet in the morning. Not dripping wet, but damp.

When I work out I shower a lot too. But I don't shower at night and in the morning unless something happens during the night. I have showered in the middle of the night before.

I love to shower at night. Mainly because its so much easier for me when my daughter is asleep. I could actually take time to myself, instead of hurrying and taking only a quick 10 minute one.

I hear you. Sometimes I like to just stand under the water and let it run over me. I wish I had one of those huge tubs. I would take bubble baths. I had one when I was pregnant. My belly would stick out of the water. LOL

I'm not a morning person, and I usually wake up too late to shower before work (even though I work second shift... lol). I try to avoid showering right before sleeping because I don't usually dry my hair and when I go to sleep while it's wet, it looks bad the next day. So I try to do it sometime in the afternoon when I'm home or right when I get home from work.

I dont have the exact time of when i shower, depends on my schedule. When im on night shift, i take a bath when i get home from work in the morning and takes a bath again when i prepare to work. If im on the morning shift, i takes a bath early in the morning, no matter how cold the water is. Unfortunately, we dont have this hot and cold shower at home..and i also dont have time to heat water that i can use in taking my bath.

I usually prefer to take a bath at nights after my boys are asleep. I usually run a tub of hot to warm water to help relax my body and I just soak for about 30 minutes. Then I'll let the water out and take a shower to wash up and wash my hair. It relaxes me and I seem to get to sleep better at nights. If I am still real sleepy in the mornings when my alarm goes off, I will sometimes get a quick shower in the morning to help wake me up. I have to be up at 6 in the mornings to get my oldest on the bus in the mornings. it usually runs between 6:45-7:00 in the mornings.
