I doubt that many will admit!, but if you do, has it hindered your life in anyway..... has it stopped you getting the employment that you desired? Were you wrongly accused and convicted? Did you appeal? did you win?

You can try to avoid confusions, but situations do happen. And it seemed like she was just giving them a ride to a party. Sadly, next time, she will not be so kind. It's a shame when trying to help someone out results in you going through unneccessary stress.

I got in trouble right after I had moved to the USA to start college. It wasn't a big deal to me, but they were actually hyping it up to make an example out of me. It was really messed up as before I had never gotten in trouble with the law in my life. Brief story: I was driving my car and I saw two young guys I knew were a classmate's brothers. It was past curfew so I offered them a ride before the police saw them. At their house, they asked me to come in because htey were having a party. I went with them out of curiousity and not sooner did I join everyone in the back then a fight broke out between two girls. I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I didn't know what to do, so I left. Then someone told me later the police were looking for me. I didn't do anything wrong so I went to the station to talk to them. The police acted like nothing was wrong and asked me to appear in court to testify. I went to court as I was asked, and found out I was being tried as the MASTERMIND. Apparently the kids lied to the girl to get her to go with them with the intention to jump her. (Kidnapping and conspiracy- Felonies) They beat her brutally and tore her necklace off (felony robbery) and they were holding my foreign bum there as the one who did it all. No matter what I said the D.A. was bent on putting me away for 35+ years. I didn't even know anyone there except for my classmate and her 2 13 year old brothers. The brothers testified that I didn't do anything and was simply dropping them off but since they wre young their testimony was ignored. I eventually got a better Public Defender who got the judge to agree to let me plead out on disturbing the peace. I rose up after the sentence and said: "If I am now guilty of nolo contendre to disturbing the peace, then obviously there is no proof to justify me being tried on these counts in the first place. You pick on the foreign girl when you should be after the trailer park girl." I almost got deported but the judge agreed with me after listening to me and refused to sign the papers the D.A. was pushing for my deportation.
