he is a very good 10 but I won't say that he is the best because when you are telling such a thing you say that he is better captain than saurav. And I don't think this is something which will go down easily he was a very good captain and he had a lot of contributions to the Indian team. And soif we say that kumble is the best captain ever we are actually doing injustice and not other captains who have let the Indian team in the past.

When crisis arises, then only the capacity of a true captain comes to count. In this aspect, Anil Kumble can be awarded the Best Captain of India ever.

India would have ended the second match with a draw if there weren't any umpiring controversies. So it's obvious that we showed our powerful side to Australians by winning a match on their land...which Anil Kumble made possible. Sourav got many chances to be captain in Australia but failed to show them the power of Team India. But it depends on the situatins too. Sourav Ganguly was a good captain but sticking on to the same fielding positions all the time obviously won't give any positive result.. But appeared to be active and clever through out the series..and proved to be fit enough to handle the captaincy... It is too early to judge Anil Kumble as the best captain so far...Obviously it depends on the records he create as a captain and it should be in the course of time....

Hello,ritwik! it is too early to say Kumble is the best captain.but the success of Perth gave a boost to his career.he should not plan to retire from cricket at least for another two years.he has maintained the body fitness just like the junior players of the team.i wish he should play more matches for the country and accumulate 700 wickets to his credit.good luck to Kumble and Team India.thank you.

kumble is just 2 sreies old let him play more then we can judge him better no doubt he is the best bowler that india has produce uptill now

No I think Anil Kumble is one of the best but Saurav Ganguly is so far the most successfull and the best captain India ever had.

Well, yesterday's victory was something special.If he lasts for a year or two then he could become the best test match captain India has ever produced.He seems to have a great temperament and he is second to none as a communicator and leader , but at the end of it all , captains are judged by the results of the matches played during their tenure.Personal milestones aside, if the team continues to deliver such inspiring performances under his leadership ,then he might be revered by his team mates and his fans.I'd love to see him cross 700 wickets in 2009.

Anil is a thinking captain. But it will be early to say that he is the best India has produced. Captains like Ajit Wadekar and Kapil Dev are superior captains. Were they not?

I don't think that Kumble is the best captain but he is most senior player and intelligent. he had played more over 100+ test matches so he knows the strategy but I cann't think that Anil kumkle is the best. But I appriete him.
