If you were to find a one-hundred dollar bill on the ground, would you take it to the police and accept it after two weeks with no one claiming it, or would you just take it and spend it?

Normally if I find money, I will look for the owner. If I lost money I would want it returned. But if I found $100 just on the ground and there is no way of finding the owner, then I would spend it. If I found it someplace where I had a chance of finding the owner I sure would try to return it.

A hundred doesn't come as easy as finding one on the ground. However, I'd see if anyone close by or somebody comes back with that expression of looking for something. If nothing happens after a few minutes, it means that it's mine for the taking.
I always have this idea on material things. We all lose stuff. Intentional or not, we always find ways to get some stuff lost. Its not easy but it happens.
So there are also instances that we find things that interests us. A hundred dollar bill is no exemption.
One time, I found an umbrella at school and waited for a whole Semester, waiting for anyone that might claim it but, nobody did so, instead of leaving it, I decided to put it into good use. My point would be that, if I ever do lose something of great importance, it would be an ease of mind if the one that would find that item would put it into good use as well.
