Fiji played extremely well in last years world cup reaching the quarters which they havent done insomething like two decades. Beating the welsh and taking the springboks to the wire in the quarters. They really showed us that with sheer guts and beliving in themselves they can match it with the best in world rugby. The question that arises is wether the IRB and bigger nations like SA,NZ, AUST & ENG will offer they help by funding and development to this small rugby nations who do not have the $$$$$ to become pro's... let alone paying for their own players

Fiji and Argentina were, without a doubt, the most pleasant surprises of the last World Cup.
As of the financial support from IRB, I remember that a few years ago, when my national team (Romania) got crushed by England in a friendly match, there were rumors of IRB including us on a list of countries that desperately need help along with Solomon Islands (if I remember correctly) and a few other. I don't know what happened next, but if such a list existed, the IRB must have actions to help rugby in poor countries...
Fiji will certainly deserve financial help, because it's promising to become a fine team.

Thanks for your comment it is true Fiji & Argentina were really a joy to watch and it really brings hope to smaller rugby nations. Fiji has produced some ofthe best rugby players who have gone ahead to play for other countries like Lote Tuqiri for Australia, cousins Joe Rokocoko& Sivivatu for NZ, Isoa Damudamu for England and current fiji coach ilivasi tabua who had a stint with australia in the early ninetys.
i hope that this bigger nations who have used fiji players to their advantage could at leastgive something back to this small nations who have given so much to world rugby... especially by engaging in test matches and financial help which i think small nations like fiji, samoa, tonga and Romania would really receive it with open arms!!!!!!!!
