Children resemble their parents in more than just facial features a d n physique. Yet even children within a single family are not exactly alike. The factor that creates the similarity between parents and their children is known heredity. Heredity is controlled by the genes, which are found in the chromosomes of the father's sperm cells and the mother's egg cells. Chromosomes pass on inherited traits such as the eye and hair color, size of teeth and even basic temperature.
