This is a great idea. There isn't one near me but I will be checking on it. I don't know why every city, town etc doesn't do something like this. Thanks for a good discussion. xoxoxo

Before I moved I used freecycle to get rid of a lot of things I couldn't take with me. I was thrilled, because the stuff was still good, like books, and I didn't want to just throw it away. I recently joined the freecycle here, but haven't used it yet, maybe soon. It is a great resource.

I love freecycle, too. I've got rid of a lot of things I didn't know what to do with. Haven't got much from it, though, since there seem to be so many needy people, I feel greedy in asking for things.

I love freecycle. We're renovating our house and I have new things I'm posting almost every day. It's nice to know that all that potentially useful stuff is going to go to somebody who can use it, instead of ending up in landfill.

I think there is a group not too far away from me, but I have not joined. I probably will soon, though, since I have some stuff that I could get rid of. Mostly baby toys and clothes.

I LOVE freecycle! It is so convenient to have unwanted items picked up by people who do want them. I even got rid of two non-functioning dehumidifiers that would have cost money to turn into waste or recycle. I can't imagine what the guy wanted with them. But I sure was glad to see them go.

There is a freecycle in my area that I am a member of, but I have not actualy used it. I look thinks over but there is a lot of junk and baby clothes which we dont need. It is a great idea. A few less things in the landfill and less money we have to spend.

I joined the local freecycle group here in Austin. I've gotten quite a bit of good stuff & found homes for some of mine. In fact, yesterday I picked up some teas from another freecycler.

I belong to one but have not had a chance to use it yet because they sent a email to me about a lady collecting things and I did not have what she needed.

I do belong to a freecycle group and they have tons of stuff to swap! I have only found one thing so far but part of it is because you have to be fast or the stuff is gone right away,.

we use it quite a bit. More to get rid of stuff than get stuff, but my husband got a perfectly good bike out of it.
