Next summer I am travelling to the west coast of Canada. I am thinking of taking 2 weeks to see British Columbia and Alberta...is this enough time to see these two beautiful provinces? Or would three weeks be better?

Hi...good for you to travel. I went to Canada last April6-May6 2007 and stayed 2 weeks with my sister in a neighboring city of Montreal in Quebec and 2 weeks with my brother in British Columbia. My sister bring us and toured us to some cities in Quebec and to Toronto and Ottawa.
I had been to British Columbia particularly Vancouver and its neighboring cities like Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Moody, up to Abbotsford. We also went to Whistler and Blackcomb and been to some lakes there along the way. But I had not been to other cities of British Columbia coz we had just relied on the free time and availability of my brother who was working. We also went to Victoria (capital of British Columbia) by car and ferry. I regret that we're not able to see some beautiful places there coz of lack of time. We could have gone to Alberta too if we had stayed more weeks but I had to return back to my country coz of my work.
I guess the longer time you have, the better it is for you to reach and see all the places there in British Columbia and Alberta.

I would love to go there. My brother in law comes from Vancouver. I suggest that you spend 4 days in the beautiful city of Vancouver and then pop over to Vancouver island for 3 days. Then you could go to Banff for 5 days. From there you could do some outings to see the beautiful lakes. You might even spot a brown bear. You could then go to Calgary for 2 days. I think you could do a trip like that in 2 weeks but 3 weeks would let you see even more.
